Do the Aggies up his pay to keep him??

I thought they made the playoffs last year?
How could they let him go?
They need to get with Jimmy Sexton and figure this out.

Would be par for the course for him leaving A&M in worse shape than he inherited it

From who?
I seriously want to know. If he signs with USC, we owe him NOTHING.

Except for the fact that 3 of his 4 recruiting classes are better than any single Sumlin class.

Geez, maybe another kick in the nuts for aTm?

That would be such a disappointing hire, I actually want to see USC good again

Texas a&m would never get that lucky. They're stuck with him

Sounds like sexton pushing for a 20 year extension

No way. Jimbo to USC, and buying out that awful A&M contract, would be the biggest win for the Aggies since they left the SWC.
And I just don't think the Ags can pull that kind of win off anymore.

If that is even been discussed in the USC office…. They are gigantic morons. If he was coming off a contract, maybe. But to foot the bill for that buyout?? They could have damn near anyone else they wanted.

That is typical Jimbo and Sexton ploy. They used LSU for 2 years to gouge more money out of FSU and all the time Jimbo had already checked out on his job there.

But why would USC do this? Jimbo got lightning in a bottle with Winston. His teams (TAMU,FSU) have been mediocre, or worse than mediocre, outside of that snapshot in time. Why would other teams get in a bidding war to hire him? He ran FSU into the ground after Winston left. TAMU isn't any better off now than when he took over for Sumlin.
He's basically Chizik (Newton), or Orgeron (Burrow).
USC would be doing TAMU a favor by taking Jimbo, a proven loser.

Since jimbo has a guaranteed contract with no offset clause wouldn't it be in his best interest to tank at A&M and get fired, draw his $9M a year AND go coach at a new school for a few million a year to be the highest paid coach in college football?

ever
Like....EVER!!!
"Luck" and "A&M" are about as synonymous as "anti-bestiality" and "Aggy."

Do we have to go over this every time?
The number for Jimbo to buy himself out of the contract (which would be paid by USC) would be a different number than A&M buying Jimbo out of his contract.
