Haynes King’s injury

Distal non-displaced fibula fracture—basically a broken ankle.
Had surgery this morning to plate it and speed up recovery.
Might be back after the bye week when we play Auburn (8 weeks from now).
“People within the program expect Haynes to take his recovery extremely seriously to be back on the field ASAP.”

Got to be A tough pill for the young man. Best of luck to him

Did he get his surgery in Houston? Or did he see Andrews in Bham. Honest question.

So basically the same timeframe as Nick Starkel in 2017.
I sure hope 2021 Zach Calzada >>>> 2017 Kellen Mond

Fibula, not displaced.. that is good, only one bone (the smallest) except that doesn't address the related soft tissue damage.
Return in 8 weeks? I hope so but doubt it. Last year Waddle was limping like a dog with a thorn in his paw at 10 weeks.

No idea.
I’d be shocked if they didn’t do it in Houston.
That’s 100% speculation on my part tho.

Neither one of them could pass for shite but at least Mond could run the ball.

Highly doubtful he returns. It’s Calzada’s team now.

You have the fibula and tibia confused. If he had a broken Tibia he's not even practicing until March.

Mond could run the ball in a straight line.

I hate that for the young man. Prayers for a full recovery.

Same here.
I’d expect him to apply for (and receive) a med RS for this year.
Really lousy deal.

Most likely.
And Weigman’s, come the spring.
This whole deal is the quintessential example of how the game turns on a dime.

I hope King’s parents don’t allow Fisher to rush him back. Kid needs to rest up, because this season is a lost cause

Don't get me wrong, I think Haynes is a good kid and a very good QB, but I don't see him beating out Weigman in the Spring.
Just.....DAMN!

Really hate this news for the kid. Sounds like he is a fantastic young man and he worked his arse off to get his shot. Hope he has a full recovery and can battle back this year.
Weignman is freaking amazing though. Put up almost 600 yards this last weekend in the air and on the ground and caught another TD. Most of all though this throw here was freaking amazing, if you look at the entire situation from the positioning, the field vision, the timing of the throw and hitting it on the money in a tiny window down the field with 2 guys jumping in his face it's about as good as you will see at any level.
Just one of many from this last weekend
