So the clock had 20 seconds left and was counting down and they already shut down the scoreboard?

LOL

I guess you told him, but as soon as I saw his post, I knew it was possible with lower tier teams playing a lot during the weekdays.

Incorrect. No one turns the scoreboard off BEFORE the game is over.

It’s actually against NCAA and SEC rules to do so.

Yep!

LSU radio guys were laughing at Bama... “But WE KNOW”

And so does the rest of the country!

Immediately turning off the scoreboard immediately after the game.

As opposed to Tiger Stadium crew that leaves the score up for hours when LSU loses?

The rest of the country knows we deserve to be in playoff. That’s what they saw.

Well, ESPN has fricked up Thursday football by caving to the NFL, but in 2011, my Thursday games included:
Arizona at Oklahoma State
Cal at Oregon
USC at Cal
UCLA at Arizona
Virginia at Miami
Virginia Tech at Georgia Tech
North Carolina at Virginia Tech
Texas at Texas A&M

not really much "lower tier" in that group.

How pathetic that was. But lets hear all about that "class."

Yes it is common practice to turn them off at 0.00 as you stated. But this is a miss leading statement, because as you well know the OP says that they were turned well before 0.00. I’ve been watching football for 50 years and have never seen nor heard of this before. Sir your credibility has taken a serious hit but if you act fast you can probably get grieving counseling with Saban and the rest of the Old Tide Crew.
