They did. I had my phone out on the scoreboard ready to take a pic when clock hit triple zeros. At about 19 secs and the clock running all the scoreboards shut off and displayed a "Thanks for visiting Bryant Denny Stadium" or something like that. I just laughed at how triggered that scoreboard operator must have been.
Sounds like the scoreboard guys made you their little bitch and you’ve been crying about it for 24 hours. Really weird reaction to a win.

you went to 29 stadiums in one season? You have a private jet to catch two games a day all season?
not quite...
When the space shuttle program ended, myself and many thousands of others (JSC, KSC and elsewhere) got laid off. My tenure as a flight crew equipment engineer ended in mid-August. Timing was too perfect.
I packed some camping gear into our 4-Runner and hit the road in late-August:
First game was TCU at Baylor
Last game was Southern Miss at Houston (C-USA C'ship Game)
The trip, essentially boiled down to, hitting the Thursday ESPN game, then a Saturday game "nearby". So Georgia Tech on Thursday night, then Clemson on a Saturday afternoon, then I had five days to get to Blacksburg, VA for the next Thursday game (an actual example of mid-November 2011).
Two games a week X 13 weeks = 26 games. I caught a couple three-game weeks and added the C'ship Saturday and made it to 29 games. A friend getting me 3 SWA employee passes did allow me to do it a little bit easier than driving to every game.
Was a heckof a fun three months, including camping in North Carolina, Wyoming, Oregon and California. ANd crashed with a few friends too.

Immediately turning off the scoreboard immediately after the game.
I saw some other posts earlier today that LSU fans who gathered down by the band for the post game celebration were told to leave because the "stadium was now closed." The explanation was given as they lost so they closed the stadium immediately

It was actually BEFORE the game was over...
and I’m not being sarcastic, I was at game and all scoreboards were turned off BEFORE game was over, LSU play-by-play guy Chris Blair even mentions it at the end and he and Doug both laugh at Bama “they have turned off the scoreboards, but WE KNOW”
( Go to 5:20 mark of video)
ETA: thanks to houstontyga below for this scoreboard pic: PIC
It’s quite amusing... Very tacky and insecure move by Bama.

The announcers on the radio talked like they did it before the game was even over.
It seemed like the CBS clock stopped at 0:03, so it might have been then, but I have no clue if they did that or not.

To be fair, they really wanted to show off those new stadium lights they copied Georgia with and LSU ruined it.
Those flashing light shows are shite! I can see it before the game like a basketball arena but not during the game.

I dunno their reasoning but it may well be to limit bulletin board material for the future.
And to those who disagree, it really is pretty common practice. Happens everywhere I've ever been. The final score at "0:00" is rarely up for long.
LSU’s radio PBP announcer barely had time to give the final score. I’m 70 and been attending games for many of those years, I’ve never witnessed that.

But not as much as the Tigers made the Tide their bitches. I’m sure there were plenty of Tide tears.

Here's proof LSU leaves it on until WELL after the game:

This is idiotic and demonstrates a lack of the understanding of logical reasoning. I can't show you pictures of events that are not disprovable. The only photos I could show you relative to this point are those which could have been taken at ANY time. I have been a credentialed and published sports photographer for years, though I am no longer active for SEC games (by my choice). Believe me or not, I know what the standard stadium practice is based on game experience and observation. Maybe they don't do this at Tiger stadium. They sure do at a lot of other places, including at BDS. In fact, even WINNING scores don't remain up long at BDS. I don't manage a stopwatch for these things. All I know is that when the game ends, your camera needs to be pointed at the scoreboard for a quick shot and then panning to field level to get player celebrations. That's the way you have to do it.
All that just to say “I have no evidence to back up my claim”?
K. You’ll forgive me if I don’t believe your claim then.

Alabama did this exact thing at the 2004 and 2006 Iron Bowls, “tha universitah” is thin skinned

It's really an opinion.
I was at the game last night and the scoreboard was shut off way faster than I have ever seen it.
Some do shut the scoreboard off especially for the losing team rather quickly but last night was insanely quick.
So it's up for interpretation.

Turning off the scoreboard as the game is ending? Wrong.
Maybe in Tuscaloosa, but as I said in the other post, in the ~65 stadiums I have been to games in, it is VERY rare to kill the scoreboard in the first 5-10 minutes post-game. I have DOZENS of scoreboard selfies to prove this, all showing 0:00 (and it takes time to walk towards a scoreboard for a good pic).
And additionally, BDS actually killed the scoreboard BEFORE the game ended, which probably should be an SEC and NCAA violation. There are two good pieces of evidence to prove this the CBS clock got stuck at 0:03 for quite a few seconds AFTER the game ended. And the LSU radio broadcast specifically mentioned the scoreboard going dark with around 20 seconds remaining in the game.
