From the article:
quote:

Only close relatives, friends and the Singing Cadets were permitted at the private burial ceremony.

Whoop.

We sang when he spoke at '89 Commencement and made his first major foreign policy address. He also had the guys perform at Barbara's service, and had them to visit his home in Kennebunkport.

Didn’t see it.
But don’t get me started.

msm hated the Bush’s.

They were thrilled that Clinton won.

They hated “W” even more and continually made fun of him as being “stupid” etc.

The media were complicit in trying to steal the election for the POS Gore.

Maybe the scummiest politician of all time.

Now the scumbag hypocritical media are using the Bush family to shame Trump.

frick them and excuse my language.

UT already has LBJ's library, his son chose SMU for his library. If we elect another President from Texas guessing TCU or Rice would be the site.

So beautiful.

I was fortunate enough to see most of the ceremonies.

Last I saw was the train.

I missed what A&M did and the flyover.

This LSU Tiger visited the Bush library in October and it is top, top notch. Pure class just like the man. Today's ceremony at A&M was dignified and fitting for a true American hero. Well done Aggies!

And from what I have read, George Bush has a lot of Aggie friends. He has a lot in common with the university, not the least of which is their military connection. Finally, it is close to his home in Houston so he could get there and back easily. The affection between the university and the president continued to grow. It's the perfect place for him.

He gave the commencement speech for the 1989 Mississippi State class and also was at the 2000 msstate vs arky game to honor the late Sonny Montgomery during halftime. He was also a bulldog fan because of this friendship.

He earned his wings at 18 and was the youngest pilot in the navy at the time he earned his wings. He played baseball in the college world series twice, shook hands with Joe Dimaggio, took a picture with the Babe Ruth flew 58 missions, ambassador, CIA director the list goes on. May he rest in peace.

An amazing man.

I can remember how much I liked him and thought he was the perfect “guy” to follow Reagan.

A bit more moderate.

What if he would have been re-elected?

Great guy but at the risk of triggering aggy, the Bushes are much more Texas fans than A&M. His son, daughter-in-law (and First Lady) and most of his grandkids went to Texas, 0.0 went to A&M.
I understand they built George H a library and he definitely wasn’t afraid to don maroon, but he was also a Texas supporter and came to many of our games.
He will be missed.

He was Commander in Chief back when I was on active duty in The Big Red One.

We respected him for the office he held, of course, but even more so since he was a WWII combat veteran.

We knew that meant he had a clear understanding of what this business we were in was all about. Which was reassuring.
