This would be part of the majority the OP ruled out.

Never knew Alabama was hated so much by LSU until I posted here. Took me a while to get used to it, because I always thought we liked each other.

So no.

I don't hate any Bama fans. I respect their program and want to beat the shite out of them everytime we play them. I have been to T-Town 4 times for LSU games and have had a blast aeverytime. Now, are some of their fans delusional assholes, yes. But LSU has some a-hole fans also but I believe every fan base does b/c that's just society. If you truly hate Bama, then you must have only interacted with the a-hole fans like the teabagger or you are just ignorant and don't have much of a life.

I know Coach Bryant like Chollie Mac. Of course having a 14-2 record against him probably made it quite easy.

Nope

But you didn't get our former coach and ruin our only 13-0 BCS dream season

I guess hate was the wrong choice of words, but I know personally there is no team I enjoy beating more than Bama. I think it really has alot to do with being in NW Florida and having to hear them all. I do respect the program and MOST of thier fans.

This. And it is the joy of beating Saban as well. I don't think we would care so much if it were another head coach with the same success. We would still want to beat them...but them having our former coach makes us want to beat them a little more.

No. I just love the rivalry so much that it seems like I hate Bama.

This is more what I was thinking.

Grew up Alabama Fan
Graduated from UA in 1998
Legit enough?

Anyway. I don't hate LSU.

- Auburn is hate with vitriol.

- Tennessee was hate with a little bit of respect mixed in. Now the respect is gone (now that they suck) and they are less on my radar.

- LSU is pretty much a respect thing. Great fans for the most part. Legit annual title contender. Good for college football. The delusional homers don't bother me because we all have them. The only ones that really get under my skin are the Saban haters. Mostly because it is unfounded (he left for Miami, not Alabama, and would have come back if you would have let go of Miles). If you guys got over that one thing, then it would be a perfect rivalry. One built out of mutual respect.

I would hate most Bama fans if they had never heard of Bama.

That single concentration of disgusting rednecks is despicable. Every fanbase has their rednecks, but Bama's is absolutely mind blowing.

I think we should empty all the people in that state so the rest of us can enjoy your amazing landscapes and coastlines without having to deal with Bear Bryant tattoos, houndstooth painted 1986 trucks with 12" lift kits, and Meth Mountain.

Same here. That clique dwarfs any segment of any fanbase for pettiness and smallness, imo. Well except for that group that wish Saban was still here and hate Miles because of it.

bama fans remind me of OSU fans. dont like either one of them. cocky, big-headed, and arrogant. None of the other SEC teams bother me though.

I see a whole lot of that in our own fanbase. Just think if we had, in CFB, 80 years of this type success, as opposed to 10 or 12?

My stepdad knew Chollie pretty well, and I know a few things about their relationship and that he always liked Coach Bryant too. I know it's annoying to be beaten by a team every year, so I don't begrudge the sore feelings. I guess because of the mutual friendship they had, I always thought that LSU and Alabama were conference friends despite the record and it trickled down to the fans. LSU is still my second favorite team in the SEC.

I earned two degrees from UA and I work for UA. No, I "hate" Tennessee, I dislike Auburn, and I'm amused by LSU (meaning the back-and-forth banter and games are very fun).

I say that about my fan base all the time. (Just not too often here.) When I get into BDS each game, it pisses me off at the amount of stupidity that is allowed in. I see it on the streets as well, before the games. Some of my friends act like that sometimes and I have to tell to chill the eff out. The only time I'm ever a dick is when an opposing fan is acting completely obnoxious.

For instance: I was standing in line to use the restroom before the MSU game last week, on the quad, and this MSU was going bell crazy to a bunch of Alabama fans and everyone was just staring at him like WTF? So I go up to him and I say "congratulations, you do know that if you being that into the game that they will confiscate it? So I'd suggest you go ahead and relax before someone does it out here. You know, like the cops."
