I thought Crowell getting kicked out was a blessing in disguise for UGA.

Your forgetting how absolutely lazy Crowell was......It might have worked out if we used Marshall and Gurley, then reserved Crowell as a 4th quarter only type of player.

as lazy and whatever he was he still had 850 some odd yards and had flashes of brilliance. i think it's foolish to act like UGA was better off without crowell. he had a bad attitude but for everyone assuming he would just be a cancer all year is being little hypocritical because most of those who say that are the same people who say richt can change from complacent to great. every player on the team had said that crow had turned the corner (Corn was very adamant about that and thus the awesome letter to the team from our fan) and was showing leadership (up until he got caught with a gun, of course) but who's to say the 2 new guys wouldn't have lit a fire under his arse?

no, us losing crowell isn't in any way a good thing other than richt would probably have not started gurley as early. people are forgetting how damn good crow looked at times. and so say he had a bad attitude, didn't try. ok, THEN we have gurshall. so instead of our 3rd guy being ken malcome (and thus never used) we'd have crow coming as the 3rd guy. i doubt that would have been the case because he's just too talented but i just think it's bull shite to say UGA was better off without him. his freshman year he could be the prima donna because who were we gonna put ahead of him?
