Currently ranked
8-3 vs zero conference wins
More recent division title
More recent top 10 finish
More recent top 5 finish
Winning record over last 10 years
The big 3 in the east is now Uga Florida and sc
Tennessee is candy level now.

In all seriousness, South Carolina is currently a much better program than Tennessee and I don't see that changing soon. We all know Florida will eventually come back, but I don't see that for Tennessee. So yes, I would put South Carolina over Tennessee as a top 3 program in the East.

Aye, and LSU was the first two-loss club to win a natty. They still get the trophy, and we have nothing.
USC is in better shape than UTk, but Mizzou is a wild card every season. You literally don't know what they bring to the table week to week, let alone year to year. I'd say that there isn't a big three in the East anymore. But UGA, UF, Mizzou, and USC are all threats to win it every year.

Honestly though, what makes you think that Tennessee will one day be good again? I doubt that y'all will ever win the East again. Your expectations are too great, you won't give a coach enough time, and you aren't exactly a recruiting hotbed of a state. Unless Peyton Manning has a son that we don't know about, y'all are screwed. Y'all are the new Vanderbilt of the SEC minus the academic prestige.
