Max - 2-0 against 2 top 25 teams

He certainly wins more under Jimbo than he does under Ed that's for sure!

Obviously rushing YPA isn't an end all be all indicator of offensive line but look at the past three years:

A&M 5.1
2021
A&M 5.2
LSU 3.3
2020
A&M 5.5
LSU 3.3
Those were some terrible offensive lines, and LSU has two true freshmen starting on the offensive line this year.

Speaking non-assholishly-Max has a fire inside and a little hero inside of him. He's a winner. His stats will be meh because his skill set is limited and because some of his mechanics are sketchy. But if he's in the flow he can keep winning games. And FYI-the LSU offensive line in 2020/21 was absolute dogshit. As a kid, a person, he's a great dude. As a QB he needs to keep working.

He beat piggie under Jimbo which he didn’t do under Ed. About the only real comparison you can make at this point. I guess that means he is getting better under Jimbo.

I dont know if he has regressed but I'm glad we have him. He's better than Calzada and King by a wide margin. We would not have won the last 2 weeks without him.

The first 2 years' stats include cupcake opponents. Max's 2-game sample with TAMU is against #13 and #10.

Both have awful pass defense numbers, that's despite at least one game vs A&M where they didn't get thrown all over the field on.
