I think they have, unless he updates that offense. Trying to shut down the other team while playing a vanilla offensive scheme just doesn't work against modern passing attacks that feature elite skill players. These days, you have to be able to win a shootout.

How was the offense “vanilla” last night? We spread out and threw the ball 40 times with a 4th string former walk on QB. It is pretty clear the offensive scheme has changed fairly dramatically, we just don’t have a QB who can execute at this point.

Honestly, Georgia probably just needs to wait it out until Saban retires.

Kirby, like Les. Needs to figure out the qb position.

Need a QB to do that. Unfortunately UGA’s QB room has been a revolving door the last 3 years and were starting a 4th string walk-on. Love Stetson but I don’t think he’s the QB to win in a shootout with another top offense.

vanilla offensive scheme

The frick kinda game were you watching? We pass the ball almost 2x as much as last year. Kirby hired a guy who is borderline air raid.

We had guys open. We are a QB away from being very good.

Vanilla doesn't just mean running the ball. Modern passing attacks create mismatches and attack the entire field. Georgia doesn't really do that. Their offense looks like a 2000s-era pro-style.

Why isn't he playing the arm talent, then?

I watched Georgia score zero points in the second half. Vanilla offense. Predictable. Bama was all over it.

You’re certainly welcome to your own opinion, but it’s a really stupid one on this subject.

Nope... Thanks defense is legit... Offense did them no favors with the turnovers and Bama's offense is in a different stratosphere...

Kirby will win a title.. Hell if Saban weren't coaching he would have won one already..

I would have started Justin Fields if I was Kirby. Was not a fan of Fromm

The scheme generated open receivers. Our QB is serious limiting factor in being able to take advantage.

What's up with JT Daniels? Why play a game manager when you know you need to score 40+?

Kirby doesn't play the arm talent. Still thinks he can shut down a team like Bama.

Uga has a revolving qb problem because no qb wants to play in that scheme.

What happened to that dude who started the season at Arkansas? Was that it? A couple of down and outs and it's over? And JT Daniels? Are they going to sit the same as Fields and Eason? I think the ceiling Kirby keeps hitting is his inability to see what he has.
