Didn't see anything on google, so I don't think so yet. I'm assuming whoever is broadcasting this year will do so on a interim basis. Any rumors?

Not sure but a drunk Pat Dye would be a great commentator.

Interesting coming from a fan whose teams most prolific coach was a drunk.

Will be a game time decision. Auburn is hoping to keep Oregon practicing for several different possible broadcasters.

Way to trash up a serious thread that we are still pretty sensitive about.

Maybe, but he never went on air drunk. But I wasn't kidding, I really do like Dye as a commentator. Drunk or sober or just on his old man meds, he is entertaining. He has that old school way of saying things without sugar coating them. The broadcasting world could use more of that.

And also has Ken Stabler in the radio booth for years.

Yeah, I though about that. He was drunk on air sometimes. God love him.

Don't be such a fricking cocksucker.
You've got a million other threads to be a frickhead in other than one where our legendary broadcaster was lost in a tragic accident a couple months ago.

Dude WTF is your problem? Seriously, this ain’t the thread to try and shittalk.

Back to the question, I hope Auburn gets a guy who is also a fan/alum of Auburn. We all made fun of Rod getting pissed when calls went against Auburn but he called a great game with so much passion. He loved Auburn and hopefully whoever they get to replace him will love Auburn as much as Rod did

Probably try a few guys out, TBH. Such a hard role to fill.

It just hit me that we won't hear Rod and Stan going off about officiating during an Iron Bowl broadcast ever again. It's become a tradition, and I mean that in a sincere way. Guy was fun to listen to.

You obviously never watched his TV show. After the 1972 Iron Bowl he was obviously drunk on air. I’m not judging him, it’s just your post was so inappropriate.
