Has a successful SEC HC ever quit on a team and taken an NFL job during the season before?

Christmas Day but stayed to coach the Citrus Bowl.
We lost on a Hail Mary to a young Kirk Ferentz team.

I've seen a NFL HC quit on his team to take over a CFB team during the season before.

Dennis Franchione quit on Alabama and went to Texas A &M. Doesn't answer your question but I feel like it should be brought up.

I am not saying this to knock the Whorns, as much as it saddens me to not knock them, but I've always been leery of Sark there. When the going gets tough, Sark gets going... to someplace else.
That he is even sending out feelers is a horribly bad look.
