Held the OSU offense to 82 yards total offense.
All the people that thought Michigan/OSU rematch was needed looked like morons (MICH got crushed by USC).
Helped start the SEC run of championships

That should’ve been a lesson that rematches shouldn’t happen, but here we are with another mulligan championship game.

Completely different circumstance. Today, if you're a fraud you get exposed in the semi-final. Back then, you find out who the fraud is but it's too late.

Such as arse beating.
And that whiney bitch Herbstreit was crying about it not being a Michigan/Tosu rematch.

Could have sworn the BCSNCG dates back to last century. I'm old and my mind isn't what it used to be. Pretty sure about this though.

Which means only two years away from their 15th from embarrassing, at the time, the highest scoring offense in history. UGH! Why did Tebow have to make that halftime speech!!!!!

Don’t worry about what other people do with their own bodies no matter how mentally unstable it seems and you’ll be much happier.

CSB here - somewhat long; don't read if not interested.
After all the bowl pairings were announced following the 06 season (once the powers-that-be decided not to give Michigan a mulligan), I had occasion to go by the vet's office in Asheville to pick up some medicine. The vet, a UGA alum with whom I had discussed SEC football on a number of occasions, came out to talk football before seeing his last patient of the day. He asked me if I thought Florida had any chance against tOSU. I said that if the Gators played against Ohio State like they did against LSU earlier that season, Florida should be able to win.
A guy in the waiting room stood up and exclaimed loudly, that Florida had no business even being in the Championship Game and that the Buckeyes would win by at least three touchdowns. I told him I thought Florida would give them a good match, and then left. As I drove away I noted the only other vehicle in the parking lot was a black BMW SUV with an ugly red (?) "O" on the rear windshield.
Fast forward a year - I had occasion to go back to the vet's office and saw that same ugly BMW in the parking lot. I noticed the same Buckeye fan in the waiting room. The UGA vet came out, and we talked football. I somewhat loudly said I thought LSU should be about a 10 point favorite over tOSU. The Buckfan did not even look up.
and if everybody likes this story I'll related the one about the lady I encountered in the cucumber section of the grocery story the day before the LSU vs tOSU game

It does. Tennessee beat Florida State in the first one, 23-16. January 4, 1999.
