I mean I get why people are sometimes down on Gus.... but I don't understand why Bama fans like to pile on and act like the man is a horrible coach.
Gus is 3-4 against Saban head-to-head. That's pretty close. And don't forget the man came in following a 3-9 season and Bama was coming off of 2 consecutive National Championships.
Auburn has led in the 4th quarter in 4 of the 7 Iron Bowls while Gus has been HC.
Again, I'm not advocating for Gus or saying he's a great coach... he obviously has his flaws. But Bama fans acting like he sucks is a bad look. He just out-coached you're legendary HC and he's won 2 of the last 3.

Gus owns us in games at Auburn. They've either played us closer than they should have or beat us every trip there during his tenure.

Gus' offense gave Saban fits when he was OC---that is exactly why Auburn hired him in the first place.

Gus' offensive schemes clearly work well against Saban's defensive ones. That alone keeps him in these games and keeps him employed.

No! That Damn fool that gave him this crazy contract has been ran out of town. But the gus pole smokers are happy. We beat Bama! We will be right back here next year talking about running him out of town after he goes 7-5.
