Me:

1: Alabama
2a: Mississippi State
2b: aTm
4: Arkansas
5: LSU
6: Ole Miss
7: Auburn

For the scoffers, research mike leach’s 3rd year at TT and WSU. He’s gonna do big things and will have a top 3 offense in the nation if rogers stays healthy. Our sophomores and freshman can beat some decent teams with upperclassman…they will likely improve as juniors and sophomores that have laser focus and 2 full years of plundering booty.

1: Georgia
2: Tennessee
3: Kentucky
4: South Carolina
5: Florida
6: Miz-zou
7: Vandy

Analytics: who cares, east is weak AF.

Someone do a decade long E v W thread to prove the disparity.

Merry Christmas.

A&M is below Arkansas until they can prove that they have a competent passing game.

I think this will be very close to the actual finish. I’m pretty confident in the west. In the east, only sure calls are vandy last and Georgia first.

I feel like your analysis is really spot on. How Mike Leach did in the Big 12 and PAC 12 should mirror how he will do in the SEC West. Very similar level of competition.

So who exactly do you think will be playing qb at ole miss next season and leading them to this number 2 ranking? I’m sure reb fans are eager to hear your opinion….

I feel like LSU will make big improvements in Kelly’s first year. I could see them finishing as high as 5th.

1. Bama
2. A&M
3. Ole Miss
4. Arkansas
5. LSU
6. Auburn
7. State

Alabama will probably improve and be a solid #1 all year.

2-7 will be a crapshoot though.

Ole Miss - likely regressed due to losing Corral

Arkansas - loses their best player (Burks) and a lot of senior defensive leadership. I expect some regression.

Auburn - needs a QB. I expect improvement if they can find someone in the transfer portal. Otherwise, flat or regression.

A&M - 2 years will determine if they're a true competitor or not. I expect the defense to regress more than the offense improves next year, but probably flat overall. Losing Elko especially hurts. They might have been 5-7 this year without a great defense (Colorado, Auburn, and Alabama).

LSU - I expect a continuation of the past 2 years or some improvement. We're going to be thin at a lot of spots but there will be some talented starters. Injuries will have a bigger than normal impact.

Mississippi State - I don't know enough about their team to offer fair judgement, but would expect them to finish somewhere 5-7 in the West.

His ability to transfer success across conference lines is an attribute. He’s 2x National COTY as HC in two different conferences with a 40+ recruiting average. He’s been give classes that average in the mid 20’s and turned Mississippi State into a air raid juggernut in 2 years. The air raid in Starkville showed it can work as it defeated (a nation leading) 4 teams ranked in the top 25. Leach broke Dans decade long records in his second year for T25 wins. Let’s face it…we are entering a new era in SEC football the likes of which have never been seen.

Anyone sleeping on Leach at State is going to look back and say they shouldn't have.
