UGA did have a better overall team and deserved to win the championship as it was played, period.
The fact is that without those WR Bama was a 9 or 10 win team.
-The OL was subpar and inconsistent
-the RB group was gutted with injuries and nowhere close to elite
-the TEs were lazy and or inconsistent
-the secondary was a shambles due to losing both starting DBs and the safeties were dinged up as well.
Bama 2021 down the stretch was only elite at three things:
-Rush D
-Pressuring the QB
-Passing the football
Hands down, UGA was a more well rounded team.
The fact however is that as we saw in the SECCG, with those WRs Bama would’ve won again going away because the only thing UGA couldn’t do last year was defend against elite passing attacks.
They had no one who could handle Williams speed. He was taking the top off their defensive coverage schemes and when Kirby tried to adjust, it left the middle open for Metchie and others to torch them on slants.
It wasnt a scheme thing that can be fixed with different coverages, they were just outmanned and couldn’t get to the QB without blitzing and leaving things for Bryce to exploit.
Bama was just a perfect storm of bad matchups for UGA despite all their other issues.

Alabama had a significant injury of its own in the Texas game. Greg Mc Elroy had cracked ribs and played through the pain.
He had real difficulty throwing the ball. which effectively turned Julio Jones into a glorified blocking tight end.

A Vile Traffic Cone has no business in a thread where winning is mentioned.
You haven't beaten Alabama in 14 years. There are kids that have become teenagers that have never seen UT beat Alabama and when the NCAA gets through with you they may become adults before it happens.
All these wannabes posting and they all have one thing in common. Their teams consistently get their asses handed to them by Alabama. Over and over again.

He's not anywhere close to .500 in title games. He's 7-3 all-time in NC games.
