It's got tweets from Jeremy Fowler of CBS Sports and David Morrison of the Columbia Tribune.

LINK

This doesn't strike me as a good move.

I thought he was enrolled at some directional school in Illinois coached by Murray State Mafia members...?

Rumors only apparently. There is an article on the homepage, but they said they haven't had contact with him and hear he is leaning towards sitting out.

I haven't gotten any confirmation from anybody on Twitter that he was ever released from Mizzou. I would assume the hold-up was related to him wanting to finish classes, but those ended on the 16th....if the hold-up is he's not going anywhere that is pretty interesting.

It would be a POS move by Pinkel to boot him off the team and then not release him from his scholarship meaning he would have to sit out 2 for FBS, one for FCS...

Not playing this year, and going to the draft next year. Dumb.

He no play...He's a 5th rounder or later, unless he breaks some shite in the combine & I don't think he's got it in him...

Can't stay outta trouble working within a CFB type support system, no way he does it on his own...jmo

I fully expect Pinkel to reinstate him with no suspension come around Mid July.

Yeah I can't imagine that happening, I just thought it was weird that he wasn't released immediately but figured it had to do with waiting until the semester ended. Now I don't know what to think...

I had read that the hold up on his Mizzou release was not from the school, but from his parents not signing it so that other schools were still forbidden from contacting him.

Didn't want a new recruiting circus to start right away.

Why would he need his parents signature?

He is over 18...

Nope. Pinkel was asked about it again recently and said unequivocally DGB is done as a Tiger.

No idea. I don't know the ins and outs of how the releases work. That's just what I read. Maybe they don't require a signature from the parents but his parents requested that they delay the release.
