Greatest modern recruiting class of All-Time?

What are some of the other contenders? One of those USC classes early in the Carroll era? Maybe one of the Miami classes? One of the FSU classes of the early 90s?
Obviously it's difficult to look back at some of the older classes pre-1990 or so.
- 8 of the Top 9 recruited players who have left Alabama were drafted in the Top 40 picks. Dylan Moses was an UDFA (LaBryan Ray was the 10th and is still on the Alabama roster for 2021).
- 8 1st round draft picks
- 9 Top 40 draft picks
- 11 NFL Draft picks
- 2 QBs drafted in the Top 15 picks
- 3 WRs drafted in the Top 15 picks
- Overall Record (to date) : 51-4 (31-3 SEC)
- 2 National Championships
- 2 SEC Championships
- 3 Top 2 finishes
- 4 Top 10 finishes
- 5 AP All Americans
- 1 Heisman Trophy Winner (DeVonta Smith)
- 1 Heisman Trophy Runner Up (Tua Tagovailoa)
- 1 Heisman Trophy 3rd Place (Mac Jones)

I don't think there is any doubt. The 2017 Alabama class has the only argument at the present moment. It was a highly-rated class that lived up to its hype, both on the field and in the NFL Draft.

Jesus. Not to mention awards for RB, WR (actually 2), and interior lineman of the year
Chris Allen is getting drafted. Mathis, Ray, Wright and Robinson are all strong maybes as well. 14 or 15 NFL draft picks in 1 class is patently absurd

There will never be another WR class like that. Absolutely filthy.
Two first rounds QBs isn't half bad either.
I don't know if he is the best gameday coach in history, but he is the best talent evaluator and developer by a large margin.
