Landry vs Ark 2013 is the greatest catch I have ever seen. Not the most significant or pressure packed but just the best. He went over the back of the defender and plucked the ball away with one hand and landed on his back and maintained posession. Look at the defenders hands preparing to cradle the ball.
This play had other significance that over shadowed Landry’s catch... it was the same play Mettenberger tore his ACL. Metts last pass as a Tiger.

I remember in that game Odell nonchalantly catching a KO in the back of the endzone for a touchback with one hand... I remember thinking WTF did he just do...

quote:That catch is a whole lot harder to make than any of the others shown. It was tipped over his head and then he had to tip it and catch it all on the run. That's harder than a jump ball where the ball never moves and the WR is basically standing waiting on it.
I think the OP meant one involving talent, not a lucky fluke.

Staying on th LSU/Arkansas theme, th catch the Arkansas received made while getting decapitated by Chad Jones was a pretty good catch too.
If that is the catch I'm thinking of what was almost as impressive as the catch was that our WR popped back up from that monster hit, took a play off, and then was back in the game.
For two teams that have mostly been running oriented LSU and Arkansas have had some really gifted WRs over the years... even if they rarely got a chance to show it.

That was a heck of a catch!
Guy was all over him, should have been a PI penalty.

This one always comes to mind for me when it comes to non-LSU players. Was that in 2008 or 2009?
It was 2010 - his first catch of the season.
