When do they ever work out? Really?

Lsu for instance is all a' gogo over this urban meyer hand me down but how often do grad transfer quarterbacks actually pan out? They happen all the time and i can only think of two instances where it ever mattered.

Russell wilson to wisconsin, which happened only because NC state couldn't reconcile with him over his baseball career and jake coker at alabama, who actually had to sit his first season. Other than those two, grad transfers typically flop or underachieve.

Outside of wilson and coker, can any of you think of a successful grad transfer quarterback? I can't.

And i'm speaking specifically about grad transfers, not juco or under grad transfers.

Nathan Peterman at Pitt

Danny Etling at LSU

Even Jeremiah Masoli was pretty decent at Ole Miss. The rest of the team just sucked.

Mettenberger went 20-6, threw for 5,783 yards and 35 TDs in his two seasons at LSU.

I’ll take somewhere around that.

Masoli was the only reason we won 4 games in 2010

Still touchy about that Urban Meyer 3rd string QB that beat Bama, aren't we?

Just curious, are you upset that that your starting QB couldn't win the championship game last year and it took the backup QB to do it?

Trevor Knight was pretty good for one year as a grad transfer to A&M.

I don't know about peterman but etling and massoli brought nothing of value to the table.

Etling was drafted by the Patriots and Masoli is still playing in the CFL, so you're wrong.

Keep it to college man. I'm not talking about the cfl or nfl. When do they do anything that really matters in college?

Looks like you answered yourself, yeah they can work out just fine. And clearly some are better than others

Etling had a 150+ passer rating last year, to say he brought no value is just not intelligent

Yeah he wasn't bad but when do these grad transfer quarterbacks elevate a team or in the case of jake coker, simply keep a team stable? Honestly, other than russell wilson and jake coker, i can't think of one.

You're getting fear from this?

That's a fairly extreme mental gyration man. Settle down.
