After buying fireworks, Southern Comfort, cigarettes, Wal-Mart Alabama tee shirts, and making trailer and back child support payments, there ain't a lot left for some damn trees.

Not defending the guy, but how the hell is Harvey Updyke gonna come up with $800K? Might as well be $800M. He's proven to be of marginal intelligence, poor judgement, and bad temperament; who is also a felon.

Seems like they were trying to make sure that he would never profit from killing the trees. He could never sell enough books or t-shirts to raise that money
