Who is the front runner at QB?

I think Arnold has been named the starter. I think Deuce is actually the 3rd string QB as of now.

I’d like to see it, but I also want Auburn to hold high the family name and not embarrass us. This is a tough one….

Doesn’t matter. Auburn will claim a W even if it’s a loss.

There always seems to be a midling SEC team who embarrasses the conference on the road early in the season.

Not saying it will be Auburn this season, but it will probably be Auburn.

Baylor returns a 3000+ yd QB, 1000+ yd RB and 4 starters on the OLine for an offense that finished 20th in the nation. It looks like their D was sorta up and down, so Aubby might be able to score some points, but will their D be able to stop them?

What defenses did they play last season that were worth anything?

Freeze and the coaches have done a nice job reconstructing our defense. We’re finally at a point where we have NFL caliber players at each level of the defense.

Everyone wants Auburn to lose, including Auburn fans who want Freeze fired.

Freeze hasn't done anything except lose since he got there, so why should anyone expect Auburn to win?

Yeah, Freeze has been there a whole two years now and starting his tenure with pretty much no talent on the roster.

Woahhhh.......

Didn't Bama lose 4 games last year while having the best recruiting classes over the last 15 years?

Woaahhhh......

Defense should be improved. Better and deeper on the Dline. Better at LBer. Secondary was fine last season but there's much more depth this season. Should be fairly decent on defense. Auburn ranked 28th in scoring defense last season.

Its the offense that gives pause. Simply because of the backfield. The RBs have experience, but they arent going to take over a game unless it's the transfer or freshmen, which i doubt they see a whole lot of action. Then there's Arnold. If he can stay out of his head, he has weapons to throw to. A top 10 WR group can make plays if he can get them the ball. Lots of experience on OL too so should be alright there.

It all comes down to Jackson Arnold and coaching. Freeze has to know he is on seriously thin ice so he better hope JA can live up to the 5 star recruit he once was.

Sawyer Robertson will be able to draw up plays in the dirt and beat Auburn.

Baylor is average at best, they aint trashing anybody.

The season hasn't started yet. They've also been picked to win the big 12 by a bunch of people.

Baylor +4.5 at home might be a good bet.

I got family members out in Bama that are big Auburn fans and he was telling me some stuff about the D that sure sounded like it was going to be improved. They may surprise me and take Baylor down Friday night.
