UGA fans may want to sit these out.

Yeah, a lot of schools make crazy posters like this for recruiting purposes

I think Sark and Bielema did the same.
I guess at least they and the Auburn coaches actually coached those guys and didn't simply watch them lift weights.
I think it's still tacky.

Coaches do it for recruiting. I used to make fun of stuff like this, but completely get it now.
Another teams fans making fun of it is far less significant than the recruits being drawn to success and wanting to play for that program.

Yeah that's when we as fans need to step back and understand they are trying to reach teenagers with these kinds of gimmicks.

They are all different levels of dumb and absurd. I don't really care too much though if my school is doing it and helps with recruiting.

Do you get it now because UGA was the first/most famous to do it with Cochran and don’t want to be made fun of too much as a hypocrite or do you actually get it?

The Cochran graphic is the undisputed cringe champion in this category. It’s bad on multiple levels.

I feel like every football department sends a cringe flyer out at least once

Fun fact: Zero players on that list won a championship at UGA.
More fun fact: Zero players were even alive the last time UGA won a national championship.

At least UGA seemed to be highlighting Cochran as an individual and the work he did with those players. The auburn one seems like it’s saying auburn is the resin these guys got developed.

Eh I don't really see any difference between the two. They are all kind of dishonest IMO.

Even Derek Mason is cringing.

We weren’t the first one to do it, nor the most popular one to do it. Jeremy Pruitt’s was far better known. Think Tim Brewster’s was before Cochran’s as well. I honestly even forgot about Cochran’s poster.
But moreso get it because I’ve talked with players/coaches and it makes a lot more sense.

I've got a couple of thoughts on this. One, this isn't even remotely as cringe inducing as UGA's Scott Cochran graphic. So, glass houses and all that. Two, I understand the purpose of these things but I also think there should be some sort of obligation not to blatantly mislead minors, so I wish there was some set of guidelines for what the content of these kind of graphics can be.
