"All you have to do is look at the Gators’ phenomenal arc of success since UF athletics director Scott Stricklin astutely hired Mullen in November of 2017 in the wake of the farcical 4-7 final season under McElwain. In his first season, Mullen’s Gators went 10-3 and finished No. 7 in the country. In Year 2, the Gators went 11-2 and finished No. 6 in the country."
"Not only that, but all of the SEC heavyweights — except the Gators and Auburn — will be breaking in new quarterbacks next season. Georgia is losing Jake Fromm, and the two top teams in the SEC West — LSU and Alabama — will be without Joe Burrow and Tua Tagovailoa."
"This year, everything is utterly and completely lined up for Mullen’s Gators to take that next step, starting with the fact that the schedule is set up perfectly. There’s a chance Florida could be favored in every game it plays in 2020, with the possible exception of Georgia. LSU, which loses a ton of talented players and coaches, has to come to Gainesville this season. And as for Georgia, let’s not forget that the Bulldogs —Florida’s perennial nemesis in the SEC East — has to go to Alabama next season. Ouch!"
This year could not be set up any better for Florida to take that next step. No excuses for Mullen this year outside of the extreme(half the starters injured, climate change, etc).

Won’t matter when Florida loses to Georgia and LSU

Gonna be in the Swamp personally to watch LSU win by 13

We're going to wind up losing to someone dumb like Ole Miss. Probably still beat LSU and Georgia, but lose to Bama in the SEC Championship Game and miss out on the playoffs. Finish 11-2 on the season, but still miss out on the big time stuff.
Still more exciting than McElwain at least.

Watch us win every NY6 bowl and yet not make a playoff

Talk about a total lack of self awareness.
1980.

Why do you think you're going to beat UGA?

Florida's arrogance coming into 2020 is hysterical. They get a bunch of washed out 5* transfer recruit who couldn't hack it at their current schools and lose their 2 best defensive players and think they have equal talent to schools like Bama, LSU, and UGA.

UGA is still much more talented. Kirby Smart defenses always dominate Dan Merlin offenses.

No excuses in 2020. Mullen has to beat Georgia tho and hold serve at home.

Mullen had no excuses to not win the east last year. Still lost the east last year.

Your hopes rest on Alabama beating Georgia in game 3. Until Kirby's off season changes on offense, I thought that it was a sure loss for us. Now, we have a chance.
