I guarantee if Ark played at Vandy this year they would have been swept. Vandy is legit.

Vandy swept fricking everyone just about. I don't think the committee will look on that too hard for us.

Geebus guy, I'll spell it out for you....

State is 3-6 against the top teams in your own division. You currently sit in 4th place using the tie breaker.

State is 2-7 against the top 3 teams in the league.

No, if you win the series against USC, State will have won 50% of its SEC series, while Vandy(100%), LSU(90%), Arkansas(80%), South Carolina(70%) have all still won more.

How many series has Mississippi State lost now? Like 11.

Series dont matter, says Bundy. Only winning a game here or their to not get swept and winning your mid week games are what matter.

State is 11-7 vs the SEC West
Arkansas is 8-8 (with @Auburn left)

If y'all lose 1 to Auburn you wold have lost more SEC West games than us

They don't weigh near as much as overall SEC record, SOS, and RPI. Your argument is weak

Let me spell this out for you...no team in the past 12 years with a top 10 RPI has been denied a host. No team with over a 30 RPI was given a host in the past 8.

That's great. We also have 17 SEC wins and only 9 losses.

You have 14 wins and 13 losses. 4 more losses overall.

State has only won 4 SEC series this year. Arkansas has won 7.

You want to keep going, or are you going to tell me how important that Austin Peay midweek win was for State?

According to Hawgeye the only things the selection committe looks at are series wins and conference wins.

I still hold on to my belief that OOC wins against top teams count, RPI counts, SOS, counts, and top 50 and overall wins count.

Top teams? Austin Peay? Really? Top Teams? Who?

You have a grand total of 2 games against OOC opponents who are RPI 40 or lower. Top teams?

Again, we've played different SEC schedules. Against teams we've both played, i.e, "similar" or "common" opponents, State has a better record. It's much easier to get to 17 conference wins when you play a weaker conference schedule.

It's also easier when State is on the slate as well...see all top 3 teams against State this year.

State's resume is better hawgass. Maybe they'll give Arkansas some extra points for preseason #1!!!

Since this is a pissing match between the hawgs & the dawgs, I'll stay neutral. Especially since I dislike both HC's. But I will say that both/either team will represent the SEC well in the playoffs & without knowing in advance who mite be in their regionals, I'm betting both have a good chance to advance, the hawgs in particular with that staff. I'll give the dawgs the better home field advantage with those lunatics out in LF.
