wait...what?

nevermind, i see the confusion. Mr. Wolf said 2010 LSU says hi, what he meant was 2011 LSU.

Is State wins 2/3 from USC, I think they host....

In the past 12 years no team with an RPI of 10 or better has been denied the chance to host a regional. Mississippi State currently has and RPI of 10.

Winner of of USCe/MSU will get one. A series win would give SC 18+ SEC wins and a Series loss would leave MSU at 15-15, on the other hand a State win gives them 16+ wins and even with SC.
As far as Arkansas goes, RPI simply to low, wouldn't be justifiable.
With Nola not pitching, Ole Miss has a shot to win that series if both Wahl and Mayers are on. If that happens, puts the Rebs at 16-14 and a tourney win or two might backdoor them a host. Lose series at LSU (which is more likely) then forget about it.

State has no marquee wins Bundy. NONE
State has lost, what, 5/9 SEC series this year? Vandy, LSU, Arkansas, Kentucky, and Ole Miss. State has beaten a sub .500 Florida squad for their best series win. State hasn't faired well on the road in SEC play either. 6-9 road record.
Nothing, and I mean nothing points to State hosting. Your RPI is boosted simply from winning one game here or there but losing a lot of series.

Once again I believe that RPI, SOS, and top 50 wins count more than series wins.

There is nothing to show for it Bundy.
State has a mediocre conference record and not a single marquee series win this year. You've lost over half your SEC series. You lost a series to UCA. A .500 Southland Conference team, at home.
3-6 vs. the top 3 teams in your own division. 2-7 against the top 3 teams in the league.
Right now, Ole Miss has a better chance at hosting than State.

Curious, do you know why your Pigs RPI is so bad? Because you lost to many shitastic teams. You got swept by a average/mediocre Nebraska team. You got beat by Gonzaga, Pacific, Western Illinois, New Mexico.
If you had MSU's schedule you would have 20 plus losses already.

You do realize that if we take the series from USC then all this changes, which is what we have to do to host?

Also our only OOC losses. We have lost no midweek games. How many shitty OOC losses does Arkansas have? Those look bad to the committee when they start frowning on your RPI...you better just hope ya'll don't lose 2 to a hot Auburn team or you can kiss your host spot bye.

Again, States RPI is high because they win a game a series, but never win a series.
You've lost 5/9 SEC series. That's terrible, flat out.
You're 3-6 against LSU, Arkansas, & Ole Miss.
You're 2-7 against Vandy, LSU, & Arkansas.
You've lost 6/10 series since starting 17-0. That's terrible.
You're below .500 on the road this year in SEC play. That includes a trip to a bad Kentucky team, which was another series loss.

It's high because we don't lose to shitty teams like Arkansas does. If Arkansas does so well against the same good teams, then why isn't your RPI high? It's because you're terribly inconsistent.
We also still have an above .500 record in SEC play, with the toughest SEC schedule in the league. If we win the series against USC, we will have our marquee win, an above .500 SEC record, 40 wins and a top 10 RPI and SOS.
Arkansas' only marquee win is USC, and if State wins that series that makes our case for a host.
I really don't understand what you're arguing. Nobody is saying MSU will host if we lose this weekend..but if we win then we are hosting.

Why did you list LSU and Arkansas twice?

State has the "pedigree" to host. Arkansas...not so much. Case closed based on those murky intangible factors.

I guarantee if Ark played at Vandy this year they would have been swept. Vandy is legit.

Yeah they are. We actually had 2 decent chances of beating them. Couldn't get the big hit that weekend. We'd load the bases up with less than 2 outs, double play after double play. Left 28 men on base in 3 games.
