starting with that 1971 and counting the original 1993 tie as a forfeit to Tennessee, Alabama has won 32 times to Tennessee's 15.

The score of the 1971 game? Alabama 32-15.

Then Saban happened.

Firing Fulmer and replacing him with several morons certainly didn't help.

Bryant’s 11 game win streak happened first. Saban can pass that on Saturday with 12 straight.

Very few great coaches will go anywhere near the Fulmer & Co stalkfest over there. He's worse than when AU's BoT were sticking their fingers into everything.

Pruitt may bail on UT if Fulmer decides to give him the ol' "Bill Battle".

That said, the game had already passed Fulmer. He was never that great - he needed Alabama on a downslide. Unfortunately for him, Spurrier was his superior in every facet.

Lol it really is. The man hasn’t coached a game in a decade and still rolls them up worse than any active coach.

TSIO is a really weird series of streaks.

Alabama is on an 11 game win streak

From 95-04 Tennessee won 9 of 10 and 7 straight

Alabama won 8 of 9 with a tie from 86-94

Tennessee won 4 straight from 82-85

Alabama won 11 straight from 71-81

There's basically 4+ game winning streaks throughout the history of the rivalry on both sides.

The real decline of the Tennessee football program did NOT start in 2002/2005 as many people believe.... it actually began in 1973. Payton Manning and the few good years that followed his time in Knoxville put a band-aid on a dying program.

SEC WIN % from 1973-1994:

80.8%- Alabama
66.1%- Georgia
64.0%- Florida
59.4%- Auburn
58.1%- Tennessee
49.3%- LSU
39.1%- Ole Miss
35.0%- Miss St
32.2%- Kentucky
18.3%- Vanderbilt

Tennessee began trending down way before the last days of the Fulmer era

That's a farce and cherry picked time period. Tennessee was bad/average from 1974-1984 when they went 71-52-5 (.577).

From 1985-1993 they went 79-25-3 (.760). And then from 1994-2001 they were a top 5-10 program.

shite, they won 5 SEC titles and 1 national title from 1985-1998 and you're saying their decline started BEFORE then? Are you high?
