I played a lot of soccer growing up and there were times where the team was playing like s***but we never gave up never got first place in the tournament but usually finish somewhere like 3rd or 4th so nothing spectacular and my team never went through anything like Ole Miss players are going through right. But the mentality to give up was just never there do you guys believe that players of any sport or any competition at some points do you give up and just don't try or do you think that people just still try and get beat by better competition.

I've never seen a team give up before and I've watched a lot of sports people like to say oh that team gave up or the other team won because they wanted it more.

For those of you who played in competitive Sports no matter what they are was there ever a time where you did give up and you didn't try at all and how did that make you feel and how did it make your teammates feel?

I'm not talking about getting your arse handed to you by a better team and you still tried I'm talking about has there ever been a time where you literally just flat-out gave up and didn't even try.

I'm going to be interested to watch This Ole Miss team and see if they give up and how soon they do or if they even start to try it all it'll be fascinating to me to see that.

It's pretty easy to give up when you're a senior and the team is the worst it's ever been since you've been there. The few talented players look forward to the next level and the others look forward to moving on with their lives.

Easy for seniors to do at as in that happened to you or you're speculating I'm looking for people who've actually done it.

I had to update you on that one man I type everything with my voice so unless I go back and edit it all there's major grammatical errors in it but I'm too lazy to go back and fix any of it.

The majority of Auburn's 2012 team gave up and it was embarrassing as hell.

So I'm assuming none of you here ever played Sports? If you did I guess no one wants to have the shame of admitting that they gave up?

played several. Never gave up, even the ones I was shite at. But I also never played at the collegiate or professional level, so I imagine the pressure and mentality is far beyond anything I ever experienced on the field.

You seriously never saw a Dooley coached team? If not, that's ok. There's a good chance you'll be getting your very own soon.

As for me, no. I've never given up as a player. In fact, I can remember basketball teammates pissing me off when they started getting a little bit lazy near the end of games.

Nah man I don't think a lot of people give up I think it's b*******. I think people like to blame people giving up when in reality there are a ton of other factors like you just got f****** beat by better Talent.

If you speak as horribly as you type then I have some bad news for you.

Given up? No. Taken a game far less seriously? Absolutely.

I've done it on both ends. Took it less seriously because of a huge advantage and because if being so far behind. I still tried mind you, but if I failed at the task while trying, I didn't get upset about it like I would have in a close game.

Are you projecting right now? I think in your OP you tried to pretend you never gave up even when you were shite.

I played a lot of sports and not just one like you.

No. I have never given up as a player in any game at any moment..I've also never been in the position these seniors are in. I don't know what I would do. Probably jus suck it up and play the game I love while bettering my game, and looking forward to getting $$$
