Any other notable SEC retired jersey's in MLB? Can't think off the top of my head

I respect Clark way more than I do the juice head half of Thunder and Lightening

If it makes you feel any better he was my favorite half as well. Prettiest swing I have ever seen

Cool - wish he and George Brett would have gotten along.

quote:He's kind of an arse but no one can deny the sweet swing. How he created the power off of that front foot swing was pretty amazing. Front foot produces line drives, which he had plenty, but somehow got the lift for the HRs. We have a Palmeiro Center at MSU. He will always be my favorite of the Thunder and Lightning.

you quoted the wrong thing i love them both. Clark was just my favorite player looking back. He was a man back in the late 80s early 90s. That 89 NLCS

Clark could be an arse in person; although he was very nice to my party at Candlestick.
Raffy very nice & courteous.

I remember being a little bastard watching Will Clark play on TV when he was at State. It was explained to me from an adult at the time that “Bama ruled in football, Kentucky in basketball and Mississippi State in baseball”. That was accurate back then but LSU shot ahead of State in baseball in early 90’s. Somebody post a YouTube of Clark playing at State I would but I don’t know how to link.

Ronald Acuna, Jr. for the Braves has a similar sweeping cut like Clark did. Not quite as pretty as Clark but ckose. I like watching him play.

The White Sox have a former SEC player in the HoF whose number 35 was retired in 2010.

He does have a very similar cut. Will's is just so unique
