No surprise, network game. LSU-Bama did well going up against World Series.

13 Million!?? That may be the most watched game so far this season.

I remember when this would've been at or near the top of the ratings

Outdrew the Bama-A&M game on CBS primetime earlier this season.

Wow! So many people watched TN get spanked. How embarrassing!

That’s good.
Gumps still lost.

It's a cryin' shame it wasn't more competitive

For that reason they’ll probably be a rematch.

Wait a second. Do they double count for the Tenn fans that turned it off at half then back on to see the final score?

LSU-Bama had a lot of competition…

Tennessee-Georgia (CBS): 13.059M
Most watched game of the season, topping Alabama-Tennessee (11.6M)
That’s average viewers. Amazing that a game so one-sided drew an average audience that high. Usually a lot of viewers tune out over the course of the game. I guess since Georgia only scored six points after jumping out to the 21-3 lead to start the second quarter kept the game close enough on the scoreboard to keep people tuned in.

Alabama-LSU (ESPN): 7.582M
ESPN’s highest rated regular season college game in six years.
Also was the sixth highest rated game across all networks this season. Impressive since a Game 6 of the WS and Clemson-ND aired opposite on network TV.

Does ESPN count viewers on its app or just television broadcast?

Usually, those are TV numbers and determine add revenue for the games which determines the cost of the sports package.

quote:I disagree. For that reason, they won't want a rematch because the game wasn't even competitive. The eyeballs were drawn into the possibility of a shootout like Alabama/Tennessee, but seeing the destruction will not entice those same eyes on a rematch.
For that reason they’ll probably be a rematch

I read this somewhere in how it relates to ESPN...
All Eyes On Baton Rouge
The sixth-most watched regular season college football game on ESPN ever and highest since 2016.
