One of the best things about the last two years that no one talks about is no more sweating out games with a Vandy, Kentucky (the normal UK teams) or some of the others when they are way down. I put a W beside 8 games on this schedule with no fear that I will be wrong. I could be wrong about the loss. I might be wrong about Notre Dame or A&M. I’m almost sure I’m right about Jacksonville.

The only thing that could really derail this season in terms of the East division is a significant injury to Fromm. Otherwise, I just don’t see UGA losing the East.

Georgia has arguably the deepest and most talented group of RBs, Olinemen and LBers in the conference. This will probably upset some LSU fans and the Tide, but I don’t think it’s unfathomable that by the end of the season, many might say the same about the DBs. If we can make it through with no severe injuries to our Dline, we have enough depth there to make it through with a good rotation. And while the 2018 class on defense was more ballyhooed, the 2019 class seems to have more guys truly ready to do big things early. This could be the best defense in the conference.

While many in the national media point to WR as the weakest link on offense, I honestly am more concerned with the TEs. It’s really all about Charlie Woerner and if he can finally be the mismatch/freak he was thought to be when he signed. The WR room just has too much talent for someone there not to step up. And I’m not sure there is much shame in playing backup to three NFL draft picks.

I think Auburn will be the toughest game for a few reasons. It’s on the road, the East could likely be decided by then and a chance of losing focus, and I think Auburn could be a lot better than some think. There are a lot of reasons for UGA to be really honed in if they make it to A&M undefeated or with one loss. One loss obviously would end the dream if one more loss is tacked on. If they have no losses they are likely just the A&M game away from punching a ticket for the CFP before the SECCG is even played. Tech may well be the easiest Power 5 game on the schedule with the OC having to put square pegs into round holes. I’ll pick UGA to lose one because it’s hard to get through the SEC unscathed no matter who you are. But I think we’re more likely to go 12-0 than 10-2. A few prognosticators (Chris Fallica, Danny Sheridan, some others) have started picking us to win it all. I hope that dies down. Would like as little rat poison as possible.

I think you can tell who it won't be. There are about four that it could be. And I feel Auburn probably has the best shot with the way things line up.

Your arrogance is hilarious. Only Fromm being injured? That's the ONLY way Georgia loses the East?

frick the Georgia fans are delusional.

9-3 or 10-2

Notre Dame
Florida
Auburn

All have good chances of beating the dogs.

Beyond that

U of SC
Texas A&M
Mizzou

Have a small chance.

IMO, the dogs will lose to 2 of the top 3 I listed, and 1 of the next 3, but opinions are like butt holes, that's why we play the games.

fromm has literally never lost a game to an east team. The 2 teams behind us in the east last year we beat by 19 and 17 points both away from athens. I don't think it's "delusional" to expect us to win the east this year without major injuries..

For reality to strike

Two beat downs last year in Kirby's third year(in Mullen's first year UF finished ranked the same as Georgia in Kirby's third).

Change of coordinators, neither considered great ones(Coley couldn't land a OC job for a reason after Miami, even as an elite recruiter).

You aren't Bama nor Clemson. You are Georgia. The perennial underachiever. The arrogance is hilarious.

It's arrogant to suggest we'll win the east again if healthy? Interesting.

Actually, that's going to be a tougher schedule than it appears. Frontloading your three easiest games will make for a tough November:

Sure, GT shouldn't be much of a challenge this year, but before them you'll be facing pretty stout teams on consecutive weeks. That bit about Fromm getting hurt may not be that far wrong...

God almighty, you guys are still playing this card? Shouldn't your RECORD inside the division be the first priority? How bout winning the WLOCP as 2 nd priority?

You really think Mullen will finish higher in his 2nd year than Kirby in his 2nd year?

Talk about delusional.

I mean, it appears tough to me.

That 4 game stretch in November is going to be really, really tough, especially considering 3 of those 4 teams have a bye before us.

I think we're better than all 4, but that's a tough slate. That's also what the ACC/clemson homers dont' seem to understand, or willingly ignore. Clemson is better than all 4 of those teams but play them in consecutive weeks and see what happens.

I'll admit that I at first did not like the fact that our four easiest games were the first three and the last one, but there are some positives.

Those three early games should give us a chance to work the ubertalented kids from the 2019 class in.

That last game, no longer having to prepare for an offense we only see once a year and taking injury from chop blocks constantly, will be a potential nice layup before Atlanta.
