Kirby is 0-3 in championship games against Alabama and LSU.

If he loses in Tuscaloosa in game three and falls to 0-3 against Alabama (0-5 against Alabama/LSU), is he on the hot seat?

No. Occasionally winning an SEC championship, losing to Texas in a bowl game, and winning their yearly super bowl against Gus is enough to satisfy that fan base.

I mean, didn’t you catch the other thread where they bragged about being a powerhouse that had 1 appearance in a national championship game in the last several decades?

Is Saban on the hot seat if he doesn’t beat a ranked team in the regular season for the 2nd straight year?

Why would kirby be responsible for a record dating back to 2008?

Your thread takes a left turn near the end of the OP

Does any SEC team have a good record against LSU and Alabama since 2008?

I would guess not

ETA: Florida is 6-13 since 2008. My guess is that’s the best anyone can say.

Auburn is 7-17. Not looking up anyone else because it would be ugly

Owning our sec rivals auburn and Florida while maintaining consistent playoff contenders keeps uga coaches off a hot seat of any kind.

What is Kirby's record?

Like 0-4?

Kirby will be held responsible for what his teams do. He’s had a good first four years. It’s a time of transition with so many new coaches, new offense, his first set of recruits graduating, etc. If he hasn’t accomplished our goal of an NC before the next “transition” then we will need to consider other options. The jump from very good to “best” is something we have to make. We were close in 2017, not as much since. This year doesn’t look like a championship year to me.

Bingo.

Kirby gets credit for making it to Atlanta but he's 1-3 there if you include the CFP final.

Very much like Richt.

He’s no different than Richt from 01-05. He’s been better than the later version of Richt. We aren’t losing the Liberty Bowl to UCF. We are not getting beat in Jax ( by 4TDs + most times). Mark Richt was never able to adequately replace his coaching staff when needed. He was stubborn and refused to change. Kirby hasn’t shown that yet, in fact at the first sign of an issue (2020) he got rid of the OC and hired someone who looks like they will run a much different offense. He seems to have upgraded on the defensive staff.

I imagine you meant for this to be a flame, but the richt you are comparing him to was considered an elite young head coach, so thanks for the compliment.

No. But losing to Georgia and Kirby would be hard for him to overcome.
