Without watching a single UGA game I'd say.....bad baseball

Some combination of Fresno and Coleman made their arse quit. Just kidding, but I'd imagine they just weren't able to replace the studs they had like Smoker et al.
ETA:
to LSUtool. How could I have forgotten that Richt lost control of the program.

That program has yet to recover since 2008.

Great baseball team just on a mid-season slump

What in particular has made him bad? shite recruiting? Unable to develop players? Questionable decision making? Or a mixture of things?
It's hard to hear much about other baseball programs, especially ones on the decline.

Perno should probably stop recruiting guys who will definitely not play in college. See Byron Buxton, others

i also think we should incorporate the "thanks, obama" trend but for richt. richt has lost all control at this point should be implied so if we were to adopt this every UGA thread could easily be met with a "Thanks, Richt"

Probably all. I believe we signed the #1 recruiting class in the country, but all the studs went to the pros. That's a stupid way to recruit and way too much of a gamble. Recruiting from previous years was a little spotty, so we don't really have elite talent, we have like 2 or 3 guys who are proven, solid SEC guys.
Perno has never really been all that much of a talent developer, IMO. All the guys that have been studs recently (Gordon, piesel, fields, josh morris, etc) are just so naturally good that they didn't even really need coaching. We've had several guys under him make the all freshman SEC team and then regress.
And also, he's an a-hole. Nobody likes him, seriously. He's a smug douche but when you're going to Omaha on the reg nobody cares. When you start to struggle, have a few bad years in a row, don't have much talent, and don't have much to look forward to in the future..people lose their patience. Clearly he will not be our coach next year, just a matter on if our AD is going to be polite enough to keep him around til the end of the year.
