I hope this kid is as good as advertised because if so the SEC may have the best 2 QBs in the country next season.

Agree. Fields could challenge Burreaux for #1.

I saw him play in the spring game and he throws a really nice ball, right on target, like Eason but better accuracy.. It was non-contact so not much could be gleaned on his running ability. Obviously his HS tape shows he run good but that’s HS. Can you run good vs SEC defenses?

It is as you would expect, Fromm naturally has a better grasp on the O through experience and Fields is a freak of nature that is insanely talented.

Mega fast release and superior judgement vs higher top end arm talent and speed/size.

To be fair, we know nothing of Fields’ judgement. You never know that until actual game play. Even a guy who shows great judgement in scrimmage can fall apart in the pressure of a real game, and then a guy who might seem flaky in practice seems to attain laser focus in a real game. You never know until you put him on the field. He’ll play in at least four games, then we can evaluate that to some extent.

I am just relating that he has not had time for the game to slow down yet and fromm is known to make good decisions.

Fromm is a known good decision maker, but Fields is an unknown decision maker, is what I think you are meaning to say.

I just want to make sure you aren’t being racist.

My favorite all time UGA QB is DJ Shockley....not even close.

Just looking at experience.

So when does Fromm lose the job? Or do you think he starts every game and leaves after season?

I think Fromm is a True Sophmore I don’t think he can leave even if he wants too.

That's right, thought he was a sophomore last year.

Understandable, he didn’t look very much like a freshman last year. Especially towards the end of the year. Kirby would be crazy to bench Fromm right now. Unless he regresses Eason style Fields will be starter in two years and probably play some wildcat. Mullen tried to tell him if he wanted to start right away UF was the Choice, he didn’t listen, oh well.

He looked like a freshman during the last 20 minutes of the NC game.

Lost his top WR, Wimms, and our most effective back vs Bama, Michel.
