Georgia Fans-Explain Kirby Smart to me.

First, I come in peace.
Here is my (mis?) perception about Kirby Smart:
1. He's an ELITE recruiter.
2. He's a very solid developer of talent.
3. He's likely to crush teams with lesser talent.
4. He's likely to struggle with teams with equal talent.
5. He chokes in big moments. He's just not a great game day coach.
44-12 overall and 25-7 in SEC play.
One SEC title, one oh-so-close- near-national championship.
3-1 in bowl games.
What do I have wrong? Why is Kirby the guy to lead UGA to the promised land? What are his strengths and weaknesses? What gives you faith he will get UGA over the hump?

Congrats on beating Baylor.

I wasn’t mad I see him taking us and winning a national championship One if these days just needs to make tweaks on his gameday coaching I think bringing in Monken shows he’s really serious about changing

He has basically the same record that Ed O has at LSU, but is one play away from having a championship trophy. What other coach would be a better fit for Georgia right now? He's been a head coach for all of four years. I wouldn't trade Kirby for Ed O right now. Kirby will finish his career with more championships than Ed O will. Don't get me wrong, I love Ed O and I like LSU, but I am just explaining Kirby Smart and why us Georgia fans support him.

WTF does the price of the ticket have to do with anything?
Beat the 5th ranked team with 12 starters out and it was a huge game for Baylor.

If you're recruiting at that high of a level and playing elite defense it just takes some offensive staff changes to put together an NC team, see LSU last season. It's his first HC job and he's done literally everything but win the CFP so I don't see the issue

So a fricked up offsides is the only reason you lost the game? Sure.
Also, playing for a national championship is not making it to the promised land. That's the promised lands gift shop.

Guess we just have a different opinion on what counts as the promised land.
