Georgia Fans- I cannot believe how brutally objective David Pollack is? Does it make you angry that he is trying to be so objective that he is not supportive of The Dawgs? Case in point:

1. He chose BAMA to win the SEC Championship

2. Yesterday he said that the SEC ruled correctly in not suspending Quinton Dial for the NC because of the late hit on Aaron Murray in the SEC Championship game.

I can understand him choosing BAMA and trying to emulate Kirk Herbstreit by being objective about his team. I was really surprised by the Quinton Dial comment.

Now I understand why Kirk Herbstreit had to move away from Columbus. I think David lives in Atlanta right?

He was a defensive guy, so I'm not surprised by his Dial opinion.

Is this a statement on Pollacks integrity and character or yours?

Why is it so far-fetched to believe he made those statements objectively?

Jesse Palmer does the same thing with Florida. He tries too hard to be purposely unbiased, if that makes sense.

There weren't many Georgia fans that think he should have been suspended, just flagged for the helmet contact. And Bama was the heavy favorite in the SECCG.

This. It's almost odd how hard they try. It's obvious and when it's so obvious is the only time I shake my head at him. It's silly really, I know it's his job but him, Jesse, and Kirk try to avoid their respective teams so hard. Now Lou Holtz is a completely different story.

I for one, am extremely proud of DP for repeatedly showing his integrity to the journalism profession. Especially considering he works amongst the pyre of deprivation that has become ESPN. Many UGA fans love to out him as a turncoat, but if he is actually giving his honest opinion of events on the field, I could care less where he graduated college from.

Pollack's still pissed about freshman Ainge ending UGA's 17 home game winning streak in Pollack's 2004 senior season. Ever since then he's had a hate-boner for UT. I know this isn't relevant to the conversation at all, I just love saying it.

I don't think Dial should have been suspended, he should have been flagged in the game. I like that Pollack doesn't show homerism, he calls it like he sees it. It's better than being a Lou Holtz type homer.
