Who are LSU fans trying to convince?

LSU is favored. If they play like they’ve played all year they’ll win. What is with these time intensive statistical breakdowns?

Not sure what is to be explained for UGA's lack of Offensive production.
They returned nearly all starters on the O-Line and their star QB.
Perhaps the loss of Ridley and Hardman hurts their versatility, making them rely heavier on the run.
Even rushing stats are down as well.

Defense on the other hand. Wowzers. What an improvement over last year.
One could argue that the offensive opponents are weaker, but it's still impressive nevertheless.
The most glaring stat is rushing TDs allowed in 2019.
Did not have much Turnover on the DL. Lost 2 Senior LBers, and Deandre Baker.

I truthfully am not trying to prove anything with this.

I'm simply a numbers guy, and thought it would be interesting to compare the two.
I was very impressed at the Defensive numbers.

ETA: FWIW, I think UGA gives LSU a very good game with a real shot at winning.

Lol. Neither Natrez nor Juwan Taylor was starting by the end of last year.

Juwan Taylor and Deandre Walker were in the top 4 in solo tackles in the SEC Championship.

Behind Reed, and Crowder.

Lack of offensive production 100% starts with receiver turnover and a focus on trying to run the ball first. Cager has been hurt off and on all year and he’s been our most reliable threat. Otherwise, we’ve badly missed Hardman, Ridley, Nauta, Godwin, and Holloman this year.

OLine play has been really solid outside of Carolina game. Jake has had bad games but I think a lot can be attributed to having no trust in his receiving group outside of Cager and maybe Wolf.

This has all led to a less explosive run game because we can’t consistently prove that a passing threat exists enough to take the top off a defense. We’ve played an 8-9 man front seemingly every down this season and for good reason.

Defense is maybe the best we’ve ever had statistically speaking. Never seen one as good as this and they’re going to be better next year; should lose very little overall with an out her good class coming in and a very young group growing up

Yeah the recruiting success is really starting to show itself. Quite the unit Kirby and co. have assembled.

I think Kirby has proven he can recruit, coach, and hire good coaches for defense.

The glaring problem is that he is uncomfortable with anything other than ground and pound offense and is reticent to hire an OC who would suggest otherwise. I get it, he wants an offense that supports his defense but ground and pound only works if the threat of an explosive play exists. And this year, explosive plays have been very tough to come by

Georgia just needs to show up in their half-windsor knots and take their arse-beating, like the good little frat stars they are and like they should...

Crowder is an MLB, he took Natrez’s job. The only reason Taylor was playing is because Monty Rice (our current starter) had gotten injured after taking Taylor’s job.

100% of Georgia fans agree that Rice & Crowder are better than Natrez and Taylor.
