What hope of winning do you have with 50-60 rushing yards in this game? Can Trask really make up for those deficiencies on offense?

im in. what are you going to do about it?

If we can pass block against your nasty D....maybe?
Our run game as you noted is garbage for several reasons so I think that is what is going to be our downfall.
I also feel that everyone is simply dismissing our defense, but we get some really great linebackers back that I feel like are going to give Nix more trouble than he has seen so far.
I kind of feel about this the way I felt about the LSU game we pulled off when everyone was dogging our chances. Most likely will lose, but if everything bounces the right way we may pull one off.

I expect to win, my head tells me this isn’t gonna be close though. We will not run well on you, no shot.

If Trask can stay upright and avoid turnovers I think our passing attack can get it done even without run-pass balance. We are deep at receiver and Pitts is emerging as a top target as well. Trask has proven to be world's better than Franks in deciding where the ball needs to go and getting it there on time. Of course, he hasn't really been under pressure yet. If you rattle him, we don't know how he responds.
I don't have as much faith in our defense stopping you so I can see a scenario where this is a shootout. Now, if y'all blow up our O line and put Trask on his back, then we are going to have a long day.

Little to none.
Probably not.
Congrat's Auburn, good luck the rest of the way.

We will have more than that but creatively. Jet sweeps will be used to get to the edge and Pierce is running more cause he is quicker.
But yea..we cant run between the tackles so this game we rely on Mullen being creative to get the balls to our Wrs and TE that can credit match up problems for your secondary.
Our run D is pretty good too. Gus will have to be creative as well to get the ball outside to create explosive plays.

I expect Mullen to use the WRs in the run game and to use the RBs more in the pass game to try to keep Auburn on its toes

Mullen and Hevesy aren't stupid. They know we're going up against an elite defensive front and will scheme accordingly. They'll mix in some quick screens, probably some sweeps to get the interior guys moving laterally. We also saw for the first time against Towson the motion WR option, which was a staple of Meyer and Mullen's offense more than a decade ago. Will any of that shite work? Idk maybe.
Do I think we can run for 50-60 yards the conventional way against Auburn? I've seen nothing from our offensive line to suggest that we can. If that line gives Trask time, our receivers will get open against your secondary. That much I am sure of.

also feel that everyone is simply dismissing our defense,
Most Auburn fans realize this is the best defense we will face all year except maybe UGA. Anyone dismissing UF's D is likely just trolling or smack talking. Smart fans realize how good it is. They just question the level of competition the UF defense has faced so the numbers could be a little skewed. Fla has a slight edge against AU against P5 competition with Auburn playing better P5 teams so far.
The DL Fla has will be the biggest test to see if AUs Oline is actually getting better from the beginning of the year. They can pressure with just 4 and Auburn has to keep Bo clean.
