been one of the most frustrating seasons in a long time. returned almost everyone, #1 recruiting class, appeared to have a stacked offense and pitching staff....a slew of injuries and team apathy later....well here we are

Yeah that is why I was curious. I know a lot of fans arent happy, but I know he has done pretty good at LSU. You guys will still be in post season play right?

We still had like the #11 RPI coming into this weekend. If we get to 13 or 14 SEC wins I don't see any way they miss the tournament. But simply making the tournament isn't exactly what we're supposed to do, especially with what this team is capable of being. This was a team that was supposed to make a national title run, not sneaking their way into the postseason. It's just been one of those years where nothing goes right, and you can't afford to have a team wide slump in a 56 game season. When a guy like Duplantis who has been a consistent a player we've had the last decade can't hit, you know something just ain't right

Sucks to hear that man. Maybe the team will get healthier and get hot towards the end.

need some possum voodoo magic. not sure the pitching staff is going to get much healthier which is the biggest issue. Marceaux came back and was shut down again. Jaden Hill seems like he's not coming back. Nick Storz just started throwing off a mound. Caleb Gilbert apparently forgot how to pitch after surgery. Hess pulled his groin on the other side than what was hurt before the season and those injuries can take forever to heal. Garza, who supposed to be our catcher, still can't catch because of his knee and hasn't hit well either after hitting 23 HRs in JUCO last year. Gavin Dugas, our starting second baseman, tote a ligament in his hand the first series of the year and he's out until the end of April at minumum. Our backup second baseman, who suck, is also hurt. Watson has a pulled hamstring and is playing DH and he's one of the best OFs in the country defensively. Reid is having to start even with a pulled hamstring at 3rd. Drew Bianco's is batting under .100 and was a big time recruit.

Sorry for the rant, but good lord we're snake bit this year. Pretty depressing

Its cool man. Rant all you need to. It sucks to see all of those problems. Is Watson gone after this year? He has been one of my favorites that yall have had. How is Peterson doing at pitching? He was awesome to watch at the end of last year.

Sucks to hear about both. What has him so inconsistent this year?

I mean he's always been that way. He just got hot at the tail end of last year and we thought he had finally figured it out. He started the season in the weekend rotation last year and got rocked, was pretty terrible his freshman year as well. He throws in the upper 90s but his pitches lately have been really flat and over the middle of the plate.

Ahh. See, idk that stuff, I have only really watched him last season when he was closing out games. The wife and I watched just as many LSU games last season together as we did Arkansas games.

I know I post about LSU a lot, but its generally because I watch you guys the most out of the other teams because of the discussion here. Unfortunately, I have not been able to watch many baseball games this year. Watching the State @ Ark game right now, and going to a Cardinals game this weekend. Thankful winter is finally over.

yeah, this is usually my favorite time of year. truth be told, most years I'm every bit as invested in baseball as I am football. Best thing about tonight's game? regardless of how bad we lose, it's still 1 loss and we can win the series and still be right in the thick of things for the SEC. Trying to look at the bright side, but it's been very difficult lately when we're struggling and just looking lifeless out there.

Way late for this party... he’s done and putting together a GREATTTTTTT first impression to his new boss! If he fires him I’d love to see who Woodward would find to replace him
