With the addition of TX and OU to the league, will rivalry weekend look like this in the future :

Bama vs AU
MSU vs Ole Miss
A&M VS Texas
UT vs Vandy
UF vs FSU
UGA vs GT
USCe vs Clemson
UK vs UL

That leaves 4 SEC teams playing the rest of rival games. Could it be the following:

OU vs OSU or Missouri
Ark vs LSU
Missouri vs OU or ?

Not enough TV slots to do a weekend like this justice.

Cadillac Williams against Mercedes Saban. With Bob and Golding I wouldn't be surprised if the Cadillac comes out on top.

It'll be interesting to see how the conference handles inter-conference rivalry games if they do eliminate divisions as Sankey mentioned recently. My guess is that they will go with a 9-game conference slate with 2 permanent opponents. That would allow them to peg Bama to Tenn and AU. AU would be able to keep Bama and UGA. And Texas could have A&M and OU. That would be 7 at large games per year for the 13 remaining teams in the conference. That would be enough to guarantee a home and away with every conference team within a 4 year period.

Will be a mild surprise if we manage to win even though Auburn is 2 levels below us talent and program-wise.

Didn't LSU use to play Tulane on the last weekend?

Wish we would schedule our #2 rival Nebraska for rivalry weekend every year. Our #1 Rival is TX but we always play that in early October and never want to change that date.

I think its finished once we leave and I'm OK with it. They are not on any of our future out of conference schedules. I think they dont want to schedule us and I don't really want to schedule them anymore either. Our record against them is 91-19-7.

They have an easier path to the playoffs not playing us every year once we are SEC.

Nope, we’ll have a North-South rivalry with Arky and an East-West rivalry with Texas. Aggy can frick off.

Rivalry weekend is stupid. Spread the games out to where they can enjoyed over the whole season......Besides that, once the SEC redoes the schedules, rivalries will be done away with and teams will rotate through playing each other, which is the way it should be. Right now its unfair.

Will not work! It will go with 9-game conference slate with 1 permanent opponent or 3 permanent opponents. It must go with odd number of permanent opponents in order to work.

You do not do away with in-state rivalries. That would cover at least 12 Teams. And you do not play them early in the season either.
