FSU and Clemson don't bring in any TV money

so this is the second SEC expansion in a row that just sucks... I never thought of it that way. A&M-Missouri, now Texas-OU.

I can't see how that could possibly be.

Their TV markets are already dominated by the other schools. Florida and South Carolina have a bigger TV market. Oklahoma, Texas, Texas A&M, and Missouri bring in bigger TV markets. That is why they were added to the sec.

Except that Texas and OU are perennial top 5 revenue programs and FSU and Clemson are not.

And Texas and OU are top 5 winningest programs and FSU and Clemson are not.

Other than that, yeah, I guess they're closer to some existing SEC teams?

Distinct TV markets are a relic. It's not how the world operates anymore.

Same national ads go to every broadcast and whether ESPN splits that across 1 stream or 2 is irrelevant.

Frick Clemson. Let them wither on the ACC vine of weakness that has led them to success,

Stop ... just stop.

These incessant threads only serve to further illustrate the unusually low IQs of some on this forum.

FSU and Clemson will not, anytime soon, be members of the venerable SEC.

They are simply not worthy ... so just stfu about this laughable bull$#!+. It ain’t happening you phuqing drug addled degenerate Gen X-ers, Millenials and Gen Z-ers.

How many threads have there been about this bull$#!+ in the past two weeks ... ten? Twenty?

It's gone from the ridiculous to the sublime. No wonder this country is going-to $#!+. I'll bet some of you actually drive cars and vote. That's the scary part. You people are allowed to speak and have opinions.

Y'all are dumber than a box of rocks.

The sheep humping sister bangers and the criminoles.

I mean what the tee total phuq? Y'all probably want Mexico and Canada to be states and y'all want China to be the overlords of the world.

Get off my lawn you little snot nosed dumbasses.

BTW OP ... turn in your SIG and your man card. You don't deserve to own a SIG ... hell, you should be banned from owning a gun.

yeah, that's still a simplistic perspective.

Rutgers has the NYC market, Clemson has a small home market in the Carolinas.
Guess which one has higher national ratings.

You don't have to look it up; people tune in to watch Clemson, because they're championship level, and Rutgers isn't.

Do you think it really matters WHERE a team is today? I don't, I think teams are products.
Florida State and Clemson are brand names that people everywhere will watch.

Hell, LSU and Alabama have small markets compared to lots of places; that matters not. When both are good, it's one of the top games of the year, for whatever network can get it.

It’s not really about bringing in money, it’s about bringing in brands and further more bodies. Calling this conference expansion is small picture. There is a new division being created and it’s going to be the big ten sec and whoever’s left that can realistically compete. This is fat trimming.

Aren't there any tampons in the little boys room of the McDonald's you're working?

Why bleed all over this thread?

We asked FSU to come on board in 1991 but Bobby Bowden refused. So we picked up USCe and Arky the next year.

Miami refused too. Now they're gonna end up in the Big 12.
