Personally I liked Canada felt like we were improving. I am annoyed he had to walk the shrimp boat plank.

So curious if SEC would have had a year of film and there would be regression or if you think.we would have seen improvement

I think it would have nullified the offensive line issues a bit more. I thought Canada did a nice job last year.

I assume Giles would probably have run the jet-sweep role Gage did last year.

Seemed like a system we would only get better at too

I sincerely do not believe Ensminger did a bad job. I think he had a good season. He stretched the field as often as he could. Your OL coach is terrible though. Against every good DL they struggles badly. I know LSUvfans think you scheme your offense around that but your not running RPO consistently or spread with the personnel LSU has now. You can see the difference in play calling at Alabama with Tua and Jalen. They are two entirely different QB

It just felt like a nice mesh between staying with a power run game and still having some options of misdirection and eye candy to at least make defenses have to think a little bit more than they do now (or during Miles).

I honestly didn't think Ensminger did a bad job this year either, he just didn't have much up front to work with and his scheme doesn't have anything to cover those issues up.

Yep - totally agree. There is very little, in his general scheme, that can be done to mask an offensive line that is below average both in run and pass blocking. There is very little in most schemes, to be honest, but specifically a pro-style based scheme like that. There just aren't any good answers.

Probably especially with the more disciplined defenses in the league

not really...

we scored more than 70 with 7 overtimes being gifted red zone field position against a gassed defense...

Its hard to judge Canada last year because O handcuffed him and didn't give his players enough time to really know the system. O couldn't foster the right relationship and ultimately hurt the offense last year and now moving forward.
