How many of those backs went to the AFC championship? He led his team there. The defense was the bigger reason but he accounted for a large portion of that teams offense and they still ended up in the AFC championship. HE cracked the 1,000 yard mark in twelve games.

Well, that settles it. LF is elite because his team made the AFC Championship.

Someone already asked that question, and I already answered it.

LF ranks about 3 out of 4 on that list.

He was at least as good as Fournette, as shown.
As shown where? on what planet?
Here on planet earth we can show stats
:
Rookie seasons:

ATT-
LF-268
MI-122

YDS-
LF-1040
MI-474

TD-
LF-9
MI-5

YPC-
LF-3.9
MI-3.9

REC-
LF-36
MI-11

REC Yds-
LF-302
MI-46

REC TD's-
LF-1
MI-0

Longest RUNS-
LF- 90 and 75yds
MI- 35yds (LULZ-Mark did not have a run over 50yds until his 5th year)

Again, I ask you where is it "shown" that he was at least as good as LF?

It’s not an emotional or irrational statement. LF finished the season with 268 carries. 266 of those averaged 3.28 YPC.

With a subpar QB

And still carried this team to within 5 min of a SB.

Come on, LF was good but the Jags defense carried them to within 5 minutes of a Super Bowl.

LF averaged the last 7 games

77 YPG
3.33 YPC

Fornette is a "once in a generation" talent.

In other words, he is good about once in a generation.

Looks like he was actually better than LF in YPC. Recall when he got to the league, the Saints had a couple of established RBs already on the roster that Ingram split touches with, and Ingram was injured midway.

I do think he’s a pretty solid RB but that above statement^ isn’t true.

Yes, Mark was not very good when he got to the Saints, Don't even try to deny it. Like so many bama players they are overused and mentally and emotionally spent after three or four years with the swag-vampire of Tusc. (Little nicky they call him).

The Saints were patient and they invested the time in him to turn him into the player he is today. Which is a good platoon RB who can compliment a great young dynamic player like Kamara. That's it. Get over it.

Fournette is a good RB contrary to what Tuscaloosa says. He could very well be an elite RB for the next couple of years. Ingram has been solid the last 4 years. This year he was definitely top 10. There’s no middle ground between you and him.

Man that’s odd, considering he made his first Pro-Bowl when Kamara was still in High School and finished with 5.1 YPC (Top 5 in the league) last year while Kamara was still playing back up to Jalen Hurd.

A reasonable bama fan? OMG...where did you come from?

Can't disagree with any of that.

I'm only calling him out for stating that Mark and Leonard were equal their rookie years if Mark would have gotten the same carries.

Leonard was NFL ready and Tom Coughlin and the Jags used him as the hammer to take pressure off Bortles.

It worked. They went from 3-13 to 10-6 with a 1st place finish in their division, and made it to the AFC Championship game.

They also went from 22nd in the NFL in rushing offense to 1st (all because of the 235 beer truck with breakaway speed).

If LF stays healthy he will be a force for a decade or more.

He's going to have to add some different dimensions to his repertoire. He's a bruiser with great speed, but his vision and footwork aren't that great. He needs big holes to run through and struggles to create when they aren't there. Maybe it's a patience thing, idk. He needs some coaching to become a more well rounded RB. His raw physical attributes don't afford him the advantage that he's always had anymore.

When the hell did I say he was elite. You are the one saying Mark Ingram is elite when he has the benefit of a offensive minded coach and a hall of fame quarterback. Took Ingram five years to crack 1000 yards lol. He needs to be thankful Saints didn't get rid of him at the end of 14.

Actually, 3.885 is greater than 3.880. Forever and ever amen.
