On a side note, Cam Robinson absolutely choked in the 4th.

If that pants-wetter Fournette had run behind some of those crushing blocks Cam Robinson threw Jacksonville would have won.

Cam will be an all-Pro. Fournette will be out of the league until 3 more years.

Yeah and the only reason he can put up those numbers is because of Drew Brees. Fournette is doing it with Blake Bortles and a mediocre offensive line. This year he had Alvin Kamara to help. I will give it to you he has been good these past two years. What about his first five years in the league where he was mediocre.

You do understand that Bama players typically fall flat on their face in the NFL?

Averaged higher YPC than Fournette in 4 of his first 5 years, including his Rookie year. He was decidedly more effective than Fournette in 3 of his first 5 years.

Hard to be run into the ground when you quit on your team midway through your junior year

Bama had the 2nd most Pro-Bowlers this year and the most Top 100 players. Google is amazing. Try it out.

You know that this is patently false. You’re basing your narrative on the most spectacular offensive bust in the NFL (Richardson) since Jamarcus.

You have to own Jamarcus.

He had too much bama in him.

He would probably tell you that.

Anybody could crack 1000 yards on the ground if they get enough carries. Here’s what Mark’s numbers would have looked like if he had gotten 268 carries per year:

1,045
1,045
1,313
1,152
1,232
1,366
1,313

IF...if if if...IF IIF IF...if if if

The reality is he DID not get the carries because he had too much bama in him.

He didn't get the carries because he was not good enough and the coaches did not trust him enough to run the ball. Bottom line. Mark Ingram elite NFL back thats a good one.

He didn’t get enough carries because Sean doesn’t like running the ball. It’s no coincidence that the 3 years the Saints won the division, they had a top 6 rushing offense each one of the years. Ingram isn’t elite but he has been a top 10 back this year.

He was at least as good as Fournette, as shown. The difference is in offensive coaching philosophy. Jags aren’t throwing the ball 50 times a game and Sean Payton isn’t calling plays.

2x Pro-Bowler, and possibly the best pure RB in the league this year.

Fournette is an average NFL back.

Come on man. Give credit where it’s due. Fournette has been solid this year.

So you honestly don't think playing on a team with a top five passing attack every year has no correlation to a running back having a higher ypc? Drew Brees is an air threat at all times, thus keeping the defense honest. Blake Bortles not so much.

He finished with 3.88 YPC, good for 30th in the league, and had only 4 carries of 20+ yards all season long - good for about 32nd in the league. He was a serviceable back who got a shite ton of carries and was pretty good in goal line situations.

I don’t know how it would correlate. That would be an interesting mini-research project. I do know that there were 14 NFL RBs who had 200+ carries and finished with a higher YPC than LF.
