Played poker most of the night with some former LSU players, also saw a few current Tigers roaming around. Some are going to New Orleans tomorrow to see the Saints play in the NFC title game. These Tigers were very impressed by the job Coach O and his assistants did in 2018.
One former player, Dominic Cooper who was coached by both Saban and Miles, made it clear that Coach O and his staff are more talented than Miles and his assistants. He noted that LSU was picked to finish 6-6 in 2018, but instead, LSU's players came very close to finishing the season at 12-1. He credited that to great coaching and LSU's ability to prepare its players and making the right adjustments needed during a game. He also made it clear how respected and loved Coach O is among current and former LSU players. The next task for LSU coaches, he noted, is to prove that they can take on the big boys of Alabama, these former players feel very confident that LSU will.

Did you transcribe all this fantastic information on a napkin, or commit it all to memory?

I think Less has dementia to be honest. So I'm not sure if they're talking about 2007 time frame, or the last few years?

LSU was predicted to be 5th in the West because of Ogeron. They finished 3rd. 3rd is where they would have been predicted if any other coach besides O was on the sideline.

It must gall you that he is now 3-0 versus his former program.
Further it's always fun to deride Ole Miss fans for the ancient '60 title claim. Neither UPI or AP (major news services at the time) voted the Rebs as #1. Further, the only stain on the '60 team was a tie with LSU, lead by a bunch of inexperienced sophomores and it happened in Jackson. Bwahahahaha
