That just ruines football. I couldnt care if Bama ever played LSU again. That whole program made an arse of themselves for two weeks. Then your team gets skull drug.now your fans murder a Bama fan after the game. Geesh !

Exactly. There have been a few separate accounts that corroborate parts of the story (the sucker punch, the two known bar thugs, the connection to actions by a member of the deceased’s party that the two men took offense to, etc) but that the game was not the point of the fight. Sometimes stupid people in bars fight for reasons other than the sensational headline makes it seem.

Perhaps the 2 picked a fight because the guy was a Bama fan, but blamed it on the female. I've been in bars plenty enough to know that pretty often a trivial thing like sports is enough to start an argument which leads to a fight.
