For Those That Think The Bama Dynasty is over...Think Again

This team has a senior class that won 55 games and 2 national titles.....this year 14-1.
The only thing that has happened is they lost 1 game to a current national rival that they have beat 2 of the last 4 years.
The only thing that's happened is we pissed off Nick Saban. He isn't going to take this big win easy...In fact, I would hate to be sitting in on the coaches meetings breaking down that game. Saban is going to get medieval on them and then the players that didn't do their jobs.
What I hope is for the media and the SEC fans to continue pumping up Alabama's ego by telling them how great they are, how great the SEC is and how Bama could easily beat any NFL team. I think hubris can really be a negative on a team.
What I also hope is for the media and the SEC to continue to underestimate Clemson. Please keep say how we play no one. Please keep saying how weak the ACC is. Please keep referring to specific games that we didn't blowout a team by 40 points and associate out entire season and development on that to form a false narrative...The fans and the team use that as motivating tools and you lot provide us that in droves.
While I hope we continue having the success anywhere near to what Bama has done, I done ever want to deal with the ego issues....Dabo had to spank the fans and the Clemson press in the nose this year because some folks were bitching because we didn't beat some team by the vulgar margin that they were expecting. I hope we can just be "Little Old Clemson" for as long as possible.
Bama isn't going anywhere.

I was more impressed with Dabo, his coaches and players this year than any other.
His game plan against Alabama was reminiscent of the 1993 Sugar Bowl between Bama and Miami.

Not sure anybody thinks this considering the Alabama dynasty is a century old at least and precedes both Nick Saban and Bear Bryant.
What will be interesting tho is Clemson moving up in stature and being the target rather than the underdog. Clemson as the rising star can attract and hold staff but Clemson as the cash cow will start to see runs on their staff. Will be interesting to see if their staff will stay as a unit or get dispersed to the wind.

Nobody thinks that. GTFO the SECR and enjoy your title.

Clemson is a great team, but that doesn't make either of those statements incorrect.
Just look at the talent levels Alabama has to compete against compared to Clemson alone. FSU is the highest rated in terms of recruiting outside of Clemson for the ACC in this incoming class; if memory serves, 6 SEC teams finished higher. Alabama shares a division with two others in the top 6.
Clemson is great, but the ACC is not. You're basically 90s FSU. A great, powerful team in a joke of a conference that will never remotely challenge you. You had to get the 2nd or 3rd toughest team on Alabama's schedule as an OOC opponent to be the toughest on your entire schedule.
It's okay to own up to it. Clemson won't play anyone outside of A&M that has a prayer of pulling an upset on you. That includes the ACC title game.
That is 50% Clemson, and 50% the ACC being a fairly pathetic football conference.

If Saban would have gone back to his roots, defense and a running game, they might have won this thing. The rushing attack was pulverizing Clemson early, but they felt like because they have this toy, Tua, that they should be passing it around. I thought this would bite them in the arse this year. For much of the year they looked like a Big 12 squad. It’s a shame that an ACC team had to remind them what physicality looks like.

Good post, and congrats on the natty. It's rarified air Dabo is in now with multiple championships. Hope to see you again next year.

Here's the rub...I think the ACC is better than you say but it's not a great league this year. FSU has fallen in a way I never expected and VT has not recovered. In Fact the Coastal Division of the ACC is a major disappointment.
The the thing that helps Clemson is how everyone connects the dots and assumes just because the ACC is as "bad" as you believe then Clemson must be overrated. Most people in the English Speaking World had Bama blowing Clemson out....
Very few people make the connection that Clemson is a great team. I like your comparison to a 90's FSU. That's pretty accurate.
It's the coat-tail riding mid--level SEC fans that are living vicariously through Bama's good fortune that are doing the best at stirring the pot. I hope they Keep it up.
Maybe next year Bama will be able to beat the 85 Bears!

Nice ploy, Clemson. You just want Bama in the championship again so you can get an easy win. Can't blame you.

Thank you for that public service announcement.
Can we be in charge of the SEC board if you don't mind?
We all know Bama is still going to be at the top of CFB, so can you give us a little rare window in which we can make fun of them?
Much obliged!
