We're still dead last in the country for opponent's penalty yds. Has been going on for years.

'17 - 130 out of 130 teams
'16 - 128 of 128
'15 - 102 of 128
'14 - 123 of 128
'13 - 89 of 125
'12 - 108 of 124
'11 - 117 of 120

I believe if we broke those numbers down, that would be untrue. When games get out of hand, refs keep the flags in their pockets to avoid drawing the game out longer than necessary.

I think the one (or was it two?) holding penalty called last night against Arkansas was the first against a Bama opponent since 2015.

Forget the number of penalties. All that shows it that Bama players commit stupid penalties like PI and personal fouls.

Part and parcel of the aggressive players that Saban recruits.

Actually all sec teams are located in the lower 100s. Bama being the most penalized bit compared to other conf sec officials throw far less flags than every other conference

They called two, but we declined one due to a sack.

Checks out for the consensus view of the SEC outside of UA fans.

The officials are paid by the Gumps. They never call a penalty in a crucial time. They hold almost every play but only call if game is not in doubt. Also I've watched atleast 5 or 6 targetings last year that wasn't called, that was just in the 5 games That I happen to see just flipping through games. The cheating and corruption for Alabama is just sick.

That can hurt in the CFP era since the officiating crews will be non-SEC in any game involving an SEC program. SEC players will be unused to ticky-tack flags.

Yeah it's hard to watch, its not just against LSU they do it to all teams vs Gumps. I'm bout done with it. They need a to drain the swamp. SEC office needs to be moved to be fair. Wishful thinking
