How bad tf will you melt/rejoice if somehow (which won't happen because there's zero chance) LSU beats Bama this weekend?

It would be pretty depressing to come out of a bye week after a 7 game win streak if that happened, so would definitely suck, even though I’ve tempered expectations down a ton, and I did that last year to keep from getting too upset with how things played out last season.

To be truthful, at the beginning of the season I thought we'll go 9-3 and maybe make the playoff but probably miss it.

After the FSU loss, I figured 6-6 or something.

So, I look at it like this now, we're capable of making the playoff and with a 10-2 record. So, if we lose to OU, I can live with that but we got no business losing to LSU or Auburn. If either of those happen, I will melt fricking hard.

About as much as I melted over FSU.

None.

I'll just figure LSU is a talented team who played well while we once again took a non ranked opponent for granted and hope it keeps the team motivated until the end of the year since another loss doesn't mean anything, just being hot at the right time while having a chance does.

And I'll probably mention how it's a sign that the greatest regular season in sports has been gutted.

I'm trying to pretend this is not happening. But you're right, it damn sure is.

It's good to have some parity, I'll agree. But something smells about cfb. It really does.

It would be loss #2 and just another game. No melt. Just puts Bama in playoff mode moving forward, which raises the anxiety for OU and AU.

But, it may keep Bama from a CcG, so that isn't bad

I would melt if we won. Our worthless administration would name Frank Wilson the permanent HC as soon as the game ended.

Every game use to feel like a playoff game when you were contending before. Especially in the BCS because if you lost you were possibly out of contention and for sure lost control of your destiny and needed other teams to lose.

So in addition to keeping track of Alabama etc, I'm looking at other games and caring about rankings and the order etc.

Now I don't remotely care about the rankings and don't really watch or keep track of other teams anymore. Conference games is all that really matters, and we don't even need to win the conference.

It makes no sense to me. I could live with the 4 team playoff because some years you needed 3 spots, even though BCS was the most exciting. But it's just getting stupid now.

I'll be disappointed if we lose to LSU, but I don't melt, unless you include the cussing I'll be doing inside Bryant Denny.

0 chance. Not happening. It would be worse if BK was coaching. Bama would win by 50 if he was still here.

You sound nervous. Predictable for you but still weird as always.

Probably pretty melty!! For some reason Oklahoma gives me more jitters than LSU. Probably has to do more with how Bama played against Oklahoma last year. These last 3 SEC games are the most important of the year, starting Saturday.

The margin for error is gone in the playoffs but not the regular season. That’s the difference

Oklahoma has one of the nastiest defenses in the country. They also have found a decent passing game. LSU’s defense quit vs Aggy and they don’t have much of an offense to speak of. OU is a much bigger threat

I really don’t care either way. Sad state of affairs we’ve gotten ourselves into.

Edit: I do care. I don’t want us to win, because that would give some of the dumber members of our fan base some hope. Hope is a dangerous thing.

Disappointed, but adults don't melt over sports. Would not shock me to see LSU win. They have talent. May not be used correctly, but they have talent, nonetheless. Been a big game for a while, even a bit before Saban came to Bama.
