Football talk: Ole Miss folks, what are your expectations?

I'm sure the downvotes will rain away, but what are you looking for in this upcoming season?
What would a good/bad season look like?
I think you upgraded a lot at DC, and probably OC as well (assuming Rich Rod isn't burned out). Is there any depth on the defensive side though? It seems like ya'll have been slim there dating back to the end of the Freeze era.
I don't follow recruiting that much, so am not sure if you were able to address positions of need.
With 2 former HCs as coordinators, if ya'll get off to a bad start do you think one could take over for Luke, or is he safe for another year?

No offense Ole Miss, but I hope you guys start the season 0-2.
I'll take a demoralized Ole Miss in Week 2 after they lose to Memphis.

First “present” vote.

Floor of 4-8, ceiling 9-3, do not see how we lose the three non-conference games beside Memphis and Vanderbilt, do not see how we win against Alabama Auburn or LSU, rest are toss ups with some swinging more one way than the other. Feel we’ll pick off two of those and finish 6-6.
Of note State by any other name would be an L, but given it’s the Egg Bowl leaving it in toss up category.

If I was Luke I'd be more nervous then a cat in a room full of rocking chairs. The fans are meh at best about him, the results have not been thrilling on the field, and I imagine that RichRod in particular would cheerfully sell his soul for a HC gig in the SEC.
The wheels could come off quickly for Ole Miss. An 0-2 start is entirely possible and 1-1 split with Memphis and Arkansas wouldn't do Luke any favors either.
Obviously State will always be the biggest game for Ole Miss but those first two games are vital for Luke to hold onto his job.

Got to beat Memphis and Arkansas to start the year 2-0...Otherwise 6-6 going to be tough.
Will be one of those fun years as long as we look halfway decent. With such a young team, RichRod on offense, a new QB and a new 3-4 scheme along with new D coordinator, I think it will be an intriguing year no matter what.
With recruiting looking good for 2020 class to boot, as long as we show improvement I think fans will be pleased.

The Rebels’ first four games are our “season within a season.” If we lose 2 or more you can kiss a bowl game goodbye.

Floor 3-9 Ceiling 6-6
Lost 3 early round picks, and a 2 year starting QB off the offense of a team that went 5-7.
Defense certainly upgraded from a coaching perspective, but they are switching from a 4-3 to 3-4 this year. There are always problems with that transition.
Memphis game will be one of the biggest home games in a while for them. They would love to knock off an SEC team.
Cal isn't a pushover. They had some good wins last year including at USC and Washington.
Ole Miss needs to win that Memphis game or things could snowball quickly.

Positions where we are ok
RB
WR
Everything else is literally a toss up
6-6 is my prediction. Anything higher would mean Matt Corral is legit and our O-line stepped up and no one got hurt. Defense also needs to go from horrible to serviceable (crack the top 75 ). We could just as easily fall apart if Matt doesn’t play well and the defense doesn’t improve.

I don't remember a MS team being this up in the air. There are no legitimate expectations, good or bad. Should make for a fun season

Honestly the OC last year was trash.
Our defense is going to be better but it will still be bad probably.
Luke is safe for another year unless he loses the locker
I think 5-7 to 6-6

6-6 is what I’m shooting for. Win the nonconferences, and slip up on the lesser SEC teams. Maybe an upset if the stars align.
We’re awfully green in some positions, but there are at least bodies there (unlike previous years). The new coordinators can scheme around this as best they can, but a couple injuries will force some really young guys to be playing. They’ve got some talent, just zero experience.
Very excited to see what RichRod’s offense will look like, especially with the RB’s we have. And if our defense can improve from the 120’s last year to the 60’s/70’s (not a huge ask), then I think we can get bowling

I think he is safe until we get a new AD. Once that happens, he is done. Season ticket sales will tell the story of fan support. We will have about 20k fans in the stands for the blowout loss to LSU this year.

frick Matt Luke. Hope we go winless so we can get an actual head coach

It's bowl game or bust for the Rebels.
